A dreadful game livened up in the dying minutes and seconds by a fine Owls goal and our farcical equaliser, but they all count. Great to see our never say die spirit continues and I wonder what Marti made of it all

I've seen some goalmouth scrambles in my 67 years of watching football but that has to be the Zenith! I decided not to go. I gave away my ticket to the fat Lady  ....Seriously though according to what I have heard and certain match reports we hardly took part in the game for the first 80 minutes and should have been dead and buried by then |

I've seen some goalmouth scrambles in my 67 years of watching football but that has to be the Zenith! But that is because as soon as a ref loses sight of play, they blow in favour of the defending team. I have not seen a melee allowed to run for that long before. Cook seemed to foul, a defender appeared to handle, there were several scraps....and we got lucky. But no way could the ref follow all that from his positioning. When I watched it the first time, I mistakenly thought that the keeper running around like a lunatic in red was the Wednesday keeper, and I thought he had completely lost the plot. Then I saw him run off in celebration....LOL Bad game, good result, Bannon is a real thorn in Marti's side. When the Wednesday goal went in really late, it appeared that Wednesday is now our number one bogey team. That equaliser levelled some of the history up, but we never seem to play as well on the big pitches, and rarely against Sheffield Wednesday. |

I recall last season when we lost 2-1 at the death we probably deserved the win or at least a draw.
I remember in the first half we were much the better team and Sheff Weds were dire with barely an attack in the first half so us snatching a point
Makes up a bit from 2023 away game.

In the Premiership with VAR no way would that goal have stood
Hard to judge properly over the entire melee but I think Sheffield could have had two free kicks and us 2 pens!
