So apparently, Eze's £60m release clause expired at 5pm yesterday, and with it our £12m sell-on. It means that Eze is probably staying at Palace this window, clubs made enquiries, but walked away, supposedly because of Palace's demands for the bulk of the fee upfront. Of course, the way is still open for Palace to do a player exchange deal at deflated values, to reduce any potential sell-on to QPR. There was talk of Arsenal's interest in Eze and Palace's interest in Nketiah. But no word from Eze about wanting to leave or even wanting to stay. At 26, he needs to be playing for a bigger club than Palace to fulfil his talent and potential.

Scored a magnificent direct free kick goal v Brentford. But disallowed by a new ref who blew his whistle while Eze took the free kick. IMPOTENT VAR were eating lunch.

Has Ezes international career hit a brick wall - dropped by Carsley after seeming to fit into Southgate's plans. Willl not help his value and elll on clause and shades of one sub appearance Charlie Austin I think Carsley's career has hit a brick wall. The false nine experiment (and seemingly dependence on Kane as the only possible striker option) against Greece should be his downfall. The wrong game to experiment. Perhaps though being dropped by England, with Palace currently in a relegation fight, may mean that Eze now thinks that he needs to be playing regularly at a higher level if he is to fulfil his potential. However, he seems to be a loyal lad, and may just decide to stay and help Palace fight their way to survival. I guess much will depend on who gets the England job in November.

Well that set the message board on fire with discussion Anyway Tuchel seems to be the new man for England. Has a decent record but seems to have gone a bit a wrong giving Bayern their worst time in many seasons. Will he like Eze? Who knows but as he is not an R's player who cares .....apart from any sell on fee which I have the feeling is getting smaller week by week or even down to nothing if he sees out his contract.
