Loved his quote - hold up play and score some goals - didn’t see much of that in his 60 odd games!
We got a great fee and a sell on if it clicks for him later.
Could be like Sir Les who took 5-6 years before he found his feet in the first team, so who knows, but pleased we’ve got sorted at least one way or the other and replaced him already.

How much did we get? Is Dykes going to Blackburn?

A little sad but good value it feels with a sell on to.
He’s clearly a weapon but extremely rough around the edges ie touch, control and finishing.
The one thing that I really find strange with him was his inability to stay onside especially when he had pace to burn.
As I say good return and allows us to get someone that will start in the door as well as offer Koli that opportunity to pick up those cameos.
Good luck Sincs apart from against us.

We all know, that during the second half of the season, we had a strong squad but no one who could score consistently amongst our strikers. So, Armstrong and Dykes may need to go and be replaced...and maybe Frey just needs to get fitter. Have we strenghtened in midfield and defence? Maybe, but signing Hayden will certainly help, as will keeping Chair and Field. In Marti we trust?

When I brought up our coach getting us to the premiership, the only comeback anyone had was “if you can keep him”. So, we better keep him and I have complete faith in the guy. To the point that I’m paying the £12 for QPR+ to be able to watch 3 preseason games 😉

He has a ton of potential. Hopefully for him he can realise that at Bristol City.
If he does he'll have Premier League clubs queueing up for him.
Shame he won't continue his career with us, but if he didn't want to sign a new deal then it's better for us to get something for him now and potentially in the future than let him walk for free next summer.
