Sky are saying that 50% of all games will be shown live during the next season, I was wondering how this will affect attendance's?
For me personally, it won't make a difference, I don't (and won't) subscribe to Sky sports as its all that is wrong with football in it's current form and has created a culture of overpaid players, many of which will never even get in the first team, and owner's risking it all to get to the Premiership and so much more.
I am sure there will be teams this will affect the most, I guess those struggling at the bottom with little hope will see numbers nosediving whilst those at the top will continue to get the most fans attending (we all like watching our team live when things are good). I would also guess that away attendances will stay strong, for me, going to away game is as much about the atmosphere than the actual game and I really enjoy them. I am already looking forward to Oxford, Leeds, Sheff Utd and a couple of others.
I just hope the extra income is used by clubs wisely and it doesn't just go to players and agents who want t get their money grabbing hands on more money they dont need.

Well I have renewed our season tickets. The problem for me though will be the obscure kick-off times. I am a carer for both my wife and disabled son, and so we do not make many of the evening games now, they both retire early and so especially with a Sky 8pm Ko, followed by the inevitable nighttime roadworks, we were getting home really late. We are yet to learn how Sky is going to schedule so many games, but apparently, they are going to announce all televised games up to January when the fixtures are released. Sadly though, we know that the additional money is likely to flow to the agents and players - that is what history tells us.
