What it must be to be an Ipswich supporter. Back-to-back promotions, great manager, back in the Prem, but what chance of holding onto McKenna. Apparently, Brighton, Manchester United and now Chelsea are chatting him up. It is so hard for clubs to compete with the bigger clubs, facilities, players, managers and rule breaking (allegedly). www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c722xk75vr3o

Tell me, how are Ipswich able to climb two tiers and land in the premier Luton seemed to do that, but now they're going back down While we stay near the bottom or mid table between the doldrums and panic A little exaggerated I know.

Perhaps the clue here is that McKenna is being linked with big clubs, even if they do not have a vacancy. Plus....it is a well run club! They are the exception, not the rule though.

Ipswich went down , took their time to build a good footballing side under a good manager to get promoted and kept the core to go straight up again - and back down next season.
Meanwhile we changed managers more times than I changed socks and pretty much the same with the team.
Now if we can keep what we have and the manager plus a small number of new players for a couple of more seasons ..........

Good idea - I'll change them when we wear our away strip.
