We have signed Daniel Bennie (winger) from Perth Glory following a successful trial (18). Also, we have signed Kieran Morgan (defensive midfield) from Spurs (18) They join Corey Brewe (full back) from Arsenal & Rohan Vaughan (striker) from Burnley in the Development Squad. I guess that is why so many were released from the Development Squad www.qpr.co.uk/news/2024/may/29/dev-squad-recruit-kieran-morgan/

Daniel Bennie had a breakout season with the Gloy here in Perth. Good pick up. I love the approach. I’ve been saying this for years. There are young players out there (outside of England) that we need to be scouting. Dortmund has been doing this for years and it pays off year after year. I’m on board with this youth movement.

TC9 @transfercentre9 QPR have made an offer of around £750k to sign MK Dons forward Max Dean.
The 20 year old scored 19 goals in 34 games for the Dons in the last season but it is thought the MK Dons will want in excess of £2M for the striker.
Plenty of Championship clubs have shown interest in the former Leeds man.

Ben Old at the Wellington Phoenix would be worth looking at, So too, Fin Surnam. Alex Paulsen would be brilliant for QPR but I believe Bournemouth have offer a pitiful 1 Million pounds plus add ons. In reality, being only 21 and playing like a fully mature goalkeeper, I would put him in the 5-7 Million pound class when you see the fees that bang average players are going for in the EPL.
Update, obviously ,u assessments are wrong, Paulsen went for 2 Million pounds plus add ons for 4 years. I hope the Nix have a sell on clause of 25%, They will make a killing when he moves to a big club for 35 Million in a couple of years

Transfer window is now open and this year closes at 11pm on the 30th August (Friday). So, eleven weeks of bedlam! Let's hope it's not 11 weeks of silence! With our seemingly new keep things confidential approach I do not expect to hear much from the club other than any completed deals (in or out) being announced. On the other hand I expect click bait warriors will have a field day with the club being linked to anyone with 2 legs and most of the team being "subject of interest" to some other club. Of the 3 players still undecided on their future I think Mahoney is still named while he recovers from his injury and then will be on his way out either on a new contract and loan or just going to a lower league team. Begovic is probably looking for a last good pay deal even if it means being a bench warmer but if he really wants to be playing he might hang on with us for a season. Willock is anyones guess at the moment. I expect he will be gone if is agent sorts out a decent deal but with his injury record, decline in performances and at times apparent poor attitude of late he will not be able to demand what he could have got a couple of years ago. Maybe Marti can work his magic to keep him in partnership with Chair. Then of course we have the Taylor Richards situation that nobody explains or understands as far as I know. If he has sorted out his issues, by all accounts he has the ability that could save us spending more in this window. If not we are stuck with an expensive non player. Not too long before the fixture list is announced now as well and hope for a reasonable start to the season.

Begovic off to either Newcastle or Bournemouth so we consider Travers …so says a shadowy agent type on TwiX. x.com/darrenowitcoop/status/1801985763774534012?s=46Asmir Begovic move to Newcastle not yet complete although QPR believed to be preparing for his exit. Bournemouth keeper Mark Travers among names mentioned as potential replacement for the Bosnian. #QPR

www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c877nkj0dxloMahoney stays So we now have 3 young keepers - plus the stream of ex PL 18 year olds - could be playing the youngest squad in the division although Cook will push that up. Will we trust in the keepers we now have assuming Bergovic will be gone. Certainly saves some money if Walsh can make the step up. Just Willock and Bergovic of the out of contracts undecided now - high excitement sweeping the board

"CEO Christian Nourry said: "The identification and subsequent acquisition of Friel are signs of how this football club intends to operate going forward: by providing impressive young talent with the opportunity to seize a pathway to play first-team football at Championship level and beyond. It is up to Rocco now to make that a reality."
For once we are doing what it says on the tin.
We are building a solid development squad of 18 year olds all forecast to have the potential to progress much further.
Hopefully one or two will turn into Ezra's and we can cash in and more likely a few will push into the first team squad fairly quickly and become regulars to replace the older squad members as hey retire/move on. I just hope we are not signing them all and then sending them out on loan. Keep them playing together and have a ready made team versed in the style of football we want to play and accustomed to playing along side each other.
If a 16 year old can play in the Euros there is no reason why 18 to 20 year olds cannot do a good job in the championship.
