Intriguing
I am not an X user but this clip shows 25 April as a date- could be something to do with the Bobby Moore Fund and Friday being a sponsorship day with fans asked to wear. their favourite retro shirt.
That could explain why the kit flashed up has the club badge shown all blue in one shot and all red in another while the blue of the hoops looks very pale and buttons down the from of the shirt ?
Nothing on the Offie about a new kit either but if it is maybe they want to sell some quick for the cash or before we know which division we will be in.
We are allowed to use a different kit for one home game per season so I hope we do not change kits for Fridays game.

Plus the team will be wearing it for the Leeds game. apart from the new socks. I hope the players have tried it out and proven it's comfort and the new fabric functionality before the game. Nothing worse for this game than if the players start complaining the shirts are too hot/cold/sweaty or too tight halfway through the game. What kit will our keepers wear tomorrow? Seems the rush to launch this shirt but with no other kits other than the keepers away shirt to be unveiled until the summer is more important than winning - bad timing and an unwanted distraction for a game that needs 110% ocentration on the match imo. I wonder what the existing shirt sponsor thinks of having their name dropped for the last home game of the season live on Sky. I assume they sponsored the shirt for the season not the season less one game. Interesting that the blue hoops are each made up of 3 different shades of blue, rainbow like. Oh well - just lining up the excuses if we lose

I expect we will play either without a sponsor on shirt or we have agreed a small rebate back to current sponsor unless deal randomly ended at game 44! Not bad kit but would have preferred another coloured trim along hoops edges and top like red or yellow as seen this season and previously. Looks very similar to last years kit bar the 3 different shades of blue which are only obvious when close up.

I am afraid it is the curse of the QPR shirt sponsor again! Convivia signed a three year shirt deal with QPR in June 2022. Convivia is / was a group of building companies. The last set of filed accounts were for 2021 - then on the 13th February 2024, the group was dissolved. I hope this year's sponsorship was all paid in advance and we do not have a FFP hole as a consequence. But QPR has moved very quickly to not only get the new sponsor signed up, but to get the new shirts out there, to be worn tonight. Shame it is another betting company, that may well go the way of Royal Panda - but so long as the 2 year deal is money up front! Perhaps we needed to get the deal up and running for tonight to plug any FFP gap created by Convivia?

I hate sports betting advertising on players shirts. Are the hoops all the way around the top??

Good research - the fact we have been advertising a dissolved group for a couple of months would imply to me that we were paid upfront but I doubt we get too much for shirt sponsorship so not a big loss for this years FFP either way especially if Copybet have covered some or all of any shortfall from Convivial Looking at their website they do not seem to be the traditional type betting company but as a non gambling man I really cannot get my head around how it works. Worst that can happen is if they go down the drain as well or if they do well will they stay with us or go for a PL team

It seems a bit niche in that you can solely copy bets of the more experienced, professional punters - but who knows if they are not bots or AI in use?!! Similar to following a tipster's nap I guess. We don't have a great history with sponsors going bust, given experience with Football Index and Convivia - let's hope this one works out although I would much prefer we steer clear of any gambling company for sponsorship - only a matter of time before the EFL follows the Premier League no doubt in banning it.

Not unhappy about new kit being released early as all these teasing videos p’me off but the new kit … seems petty but the two blue patches at the neck remind me of Reading!
