Mark Warburton gave an interview this week with Open All Hours Pod. It is well worth a listen. In particular the discussion about youth and academy. There has been much written about the fall out between Warburton and the youth coaches. This interview strips it all bare. Mark has very strong views about scrapping the academy, rather than build one, the Brentford model etc. He quotes the Eze & Chair models as the success, and says that clubs outside of the top teams cannot compete with academies. He also talks about parents of children in the system. Very clear that the club wanted to go one way and he did not buy in at all. Very strong opinions. Anyone else listened to it? www.west12media.co.uk/qprpod/
