And Millwall. As it stands. If Huddersfield and Birmingham win their game in hand we’re back in the bottom 3

That was a really poor performance …. Second half we were non existent, Boro outplayed us. All that good work and a bad performance may put us back in the bottom three if Hudds and Birmingham pick up a point or more in their games in hand tomorrow and Tuesday. Need to get something at Sunderland now.

Need to get something at Sunderland now. A point won't be enough for Huddersfield so we won't be back in the bottom 3 unless they win. But we have a week off and our away form is much better so here's hoping for a result at Sunderland.

Marti made a couple of calls that could well have worked. Starting Frey again, recalling Colback, resting Hayden etc. For the first half, it almost worked, Dieng making very good saves from Willock and Chair. Colback and Field, neither played poorly, but Field plays better with Hayden and the ball gets played forward quicker. Frey probably the wrong starter for this one, but hey-ho in Marti we trust. We did not make our first half chances count and I commented how Middlesbrough stood off us throughout, and the first team for a long time, not to apply the high press, giving QPR a great deal of freedom. Second half, from the off, Boro were on the front foot applying the high press, and we looked leggy and bewildered. It took about 10 minutes for us to venture into their half. We were suddenly second to every ball - a game of two halves. Marti reacted by making three changes, including taking Chair off. The two goals were up the other end to where we sit, the first was quite hard to comprehend (for me) it looked like a toe poke but was in fact hit on the half volley. Placed in the corned were Begovic rarely visits. He did not have any chance, given his starting position and speed. I thought we were slowly recovering, but when the second goal went through the arms of Begovic, the atmosphere and team went completely flat. Marti tried two more changes, but with Chair and Anderson apparently tired and rested, the creativity had departed. Middlesbrough deserved their victory for their second half dominance, but we should have already been out of sight. Dieng saved them twice, Begovic for the second week running cost us a goal. Marti in a difficult position. Archer is a poor keeper, Walsh and Salaman untried at this level - and Begovic is his captain after all. But we cannot keep gifting goals to the opposition when in a bun fight. The results were very unkind to us yesterday, and we could be back in the bottom 3 by the time we kick off at Sunderland. We have the toughest fixture next Saturday. We need Birmingham and Sheffield Wednesday to collapse, but I somehow expect Middlesbrough's good fortune to run out at St. Andrews on Tuesday.

First replace Becovic. Able to watch the Brentford Arsenal game and what bad goalkeeping can do to the entire outcome of the game.

If you guys want a very good goalkeeper, look no further - Alex Paulsen of the Wellington Phoenix. 8 clean sheets thus far. An oustanding talent and only 20. Showing the maturity of a 28 year old Keeper. I'm hearing European sides are now taking a look. Best natural Goalkeeper I have seen since Big Phil!!
