Listening to the presentation by A22 about the new proposed league.
Part of me wants it to happen as it looks like a good step forward, but I get the feeling that its just the first step to a new permanent league that will take yet more money away from us. They have said that it will be free to watch too so not sure how Sky, BT and those will feel about that.

European Super League: Uefa and Fifa rules banning breakaway league unlawful, says court - BBC Sport www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67787981Banning clubs from joining a European Super League was unlawful and Uefa and Fifa are "abusing a dominant position", the European Court of Justice has said. This decision could have huge ramifications. It is a big swing in power. The obvious one being the forming of a European Super League, but also, what does it say to FIFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations. If the big clubs want to spend what they like, then they can just form a Super League. If FIFA cannot uphold their position regarding FFP, then it all collapses – including way down the line in the Championship.

Nothing will change in the next 12 months, but what we do know is that a lot of people will be making a lot of money of the back of this and none of it will go to the clubs that need it.

I agree that real change will be slow, but I think the swing in power will have shorter term ramifications. Will FIFA be quite so keen to pursue the likes of PSG and Man City now? Time will tell.

That's a bloody good point
