Every week under Cifuentes highlights just how awful of a manager Ainsworth was.

A goal in added time before half time. Usually that would be an opposition goal. Not today. We score just prior to half time.

This is fun!
Great pressure, forces an error, Chair makes Hull pay. Love it!

Great Result Chair and Willock looking like real players again now rather than mannequins.
Well done Marti, keep,it up. 11 points from 18 , probably 11 more than Ainsworth would have got.
MIND THE GAP. - it’s getting smaller.

Owls win again, but we are catching up to a bunch of teams. 3 on the bounce, what a great return to form. Owls coming up is really a 6 pointer!

Like two six pointers with Plymouth , if we can win one in these two, we will have reached a point a game. When Ainsworth was Manager that looked a dream rather than reality.
Early days but good signs 👍 🔵⚪️

Early days but good signs 👍 🔵⚪️ If we had Cifuentes from the start of the season we’d be Ipswich Town right now. We wouldn’t be in double digits for points under Ainsworth. Shame as he really loved the club, but this really shows how truly horrific his reign was.

Former players as Managers and love of the Club is no guarantee for success as we know.
Let’s hope we can keep it going a bit longer because at the minute we look quite organised but must not take our foot of the gas with two teams around us. But your right football under Ainsworth was truely some of the worst I have seen for decades. 2023 is a year of football I want to forget and erase from my brain for good apart from the last two months.

Call me a cynic... but a little bit perturbed that the exact same players who showed so little fight and effort a few weeks ago suddenly start playing.... nothing to do with the January transfer window a few weeks away ?

Maybe just better organised and motivated, rather than being told to accept that 20 % possession in games is ok. Maybe the fact that Willock is even playing games rather than putting an eighteen year old in front of him and being subbed on in 94 minutes.

It very well could be a little of both, but the difference in play was immediate. And I mean immediate. And that was over a month ago, so…..
Further more, the guys could be inspired because, after all, (dare I say it) we are only 11 points from playoff contention. There is a ton of football left to play, and at our current rate of play……
Just my .2 cents (not sure how that translates across the pond)

Still seriously though if Warnock had taken over and achieved exactly the same results all we would hear is "new manager bounce etc etc, Colin the saviour" Now we have a new coach , unknown to many but I do know a fair bit about him, and I have seen comments about riding our luck, players suddenly deciding to play because it is close to January. The difference we are seeing is in management tactics, style of play and picking the right players for the right positions. Willock came in for a lot of stick but when he was frozen out by Ainsworth and given 2 minute cameos what did people expect. Now he is given a full game in a role that suits I'm with Chair and the obvious is happening. When GA was happy to conceded 70+ possession and hope the change in style is so noticeable it is untrue. The improvement is down to the coaches getting more out of the players and playing football. Just hop we keep him for a while and see where we end. Of course it could all implode and my one fear would now be that with players starting to show their true ability we may lose some in January or at least they will not want to commit to extend contracts. If they stay and play I will not be surprise to see us in the top 10 at worst and maybe be able to keep players - or at least give Marti time to get in new talent to rebuild - something he is known for. THe gap has closed - we have a couple of harder games that will test us - plus this banana skins against lower teams also starting to improve. S we will see where we stand after 23 games and take it from there. At the moment for me it is one game at a time, no targets or looking too far ahead - just as the new coaches are doing.

I took no offence and the post originally was tongue in cheek. I agree the management team are responsible for the improvement realistically they could only improve on the previous dross being served up. Its a results game and if we win by luck or judgement I don't really care. If Ainsworth had had been winning 1-0 every game playing the football he was I would of been fine with that. But when you lose playing that way you got to go. One thing I have to add regarding Ainsworth he was on a hiding to nothing being branded some sort of club legend by the media and QPR. I'm sorry but he would be an awful long way down any QPR FAN produced legend list for fans who've supported this club for decades. (Just another little annoyance of mine). Just being cynical. 😄

Just being cynical. 😄 Agree completely. GA Played 141 games over a number of season and 21 goals - "fans favourite" because of his hair character and running. Makes me cringe when I see some names put out as fans favourites. Take Jamie Mackie - with all due respect instant impact with 9 goals in 8 goals or something then hardly nothing in 2 stints for the club. But he gave all and ran around a lot like a headless chicken and became a "fans favourite". On that measure Shaun Wright-Phillips should have been a fans favourite - now that is cynical
