1-1 just before half time. Then they have a player sent off. Then they score!
You couldn't make it up!

4-2 FT
Rotherham lost 4-1 so at least we go above them. Gotta hope Huddersfield get nothing at Sunderland tomorrow night.

Absolutely needed that tonight!
You just hope and wonder if our season started tonight. This could be the turning point we needed.
Brilliant.
And that one was for El Tel tonight.

Manager deserved that. 5 points from his first four games and should have been more. Had we changed Ainsworth 3-4 games earlier we would probably be level with Huddersfield now.

Rollercoaster of a game. The decisions went for us for a change - I think they were the right ones, but when did that ever matter. Some good substitutions and general game management. Great that king rat Pearson scored an own goal. Great that the ref booked Stoke players trying to run the game for him - so many times this season opposition players have been in the ref's ear whilst we remain silent. Dykes and Smyth misses were poor, I thought we were going to pay the price, especially when they scored 'one of those goals' to go in front. I suspect others joined me in thinking, we cannot score in open play anyway without them able to sit back on a lead. A few negatives on a very good result: Why can we not retain possession from a throw in? Why can we not take a set piece? Chair is a very frustrating watch - our most talented player with shocking decision making at times. The answer to the set piece question above is usually Chair! But overall 'Phew!'

I dont have the words to describe the emotions last night. I was a bit disappointed to see such a low turn out, I honestly thought we would see a good crowd even just to honour the memory of El Tel.
We are such a frustrating team, but I still have a smile this morning :-)

We've got the right man in now. Just makes you wonder how on earth they could get it so right with Beale and Cifuentes and then so horribly wrong with Ainsworth. This is light years ahead of the garbage GA was serving up every week.

Massive relief.
We nearly cocked it up but thank heavens we didn't. We are back in the race to finish above Sheff Wed Rotherham and Huddersfield

This is light years ahead of the garbage GA was serving up every week. It’s not always a clever idea just hiring a Manager because he used to play for the Club, specially in the free fall we were in after Beale. When you think we went to Norwich and had 62% possession it’s mind boggling that GA was happy to have 30% for home games. I have been impressed with the players efforts in all of the first four matches under Ciquentes. We just need to keep this level up now, what’s that four conceded in four games, it was a weekly occurrence to let in four under Ainsworth. If the results don’t come then fair enough, I just want effort every week when the 11 players walk out on that pitch.

There is no question that Chair should be scoring far more goals than he does. But I guess over the last 6 months you could have said the same for Dykes,Armstrong, Smyth, Willock and more.

Bloody typical we get a win, then so do Huddersfield see what you mean but I’m not too interested in other teams results at the moment. We are in this position due to the ineptitude of Amit and the wild thing. The only way out is in our own hands and getting the results we need. Win enough and we will be ok - if not ….. If things are close (as likely) with 10 games to go I will be watching others and getting the calculator out. Until then common u R’s and stuff the rest - points on the board and do not rely on others. Not seen it mentioned but when did we last score 4 in the league. Some say we were lucky etc and got the rub of the green So what? About time we had some luck . How many have we lost or dropped points because we were on the recieiving end of deflections , bad refs etc. May our “luck” continue and Dykes keeps scoring but how he did not get a hat trick and kill the game by halftime is a mystery. Will the 4 goals restore confidence and open the floodgates? Not until we get a goal a goal scorer or Willock Chair and Smyth start hitting the net Massive test at Preston . A month ago I would be hoping to keep it down to 4-0 - now anything less than a point will be a disappointment
