All above board provided it is at market rate. Questions: 1) Why have we never done this before? 2) Has Lee Hoos not suggested this to our owners before? If not, he should be shot. Only now are we waking up to legitimate FFP work arounds. Glad we are doing it, but WTF?

Just for the record; the entire QPR announcement (cos QPR web links go away after a while!) QPR confirm training ground naming rights partnership an hour ago By QPR FC Share QPR can confirm a naming rights partnership for the club’s Heston training ground to be renamed TSG Elite Performance & Training Centre with immediate effect. The club opened its new state-of-the-art base at Heston in June. Supporters and retail investors part-funded the £20million build alongside the club’s owners in order to provide first-class facilities for all our players - from first team to academy - at a single site for the first time. Now, a partnership has been agreed with the family of co-owner Ruben Gnanalingam for the facility to be named in memory of Ruben’s father, Tan Sri Gnanalingam - affectionately known as TSG. G. Gnanalingam - who sadly passed away in July - was the founder and executive chairman of Westports Holdings Berhad and, in the last 30 years, led the port from its humble origins to a major transhipment gateway in South East Asia. He took a keen interest in QPR after Ruben became a shareholder in 2011, supporting the club from his home in Malaysia while attending fixtures when possible. This agreement not only creates a legacy in his name, it serves to enhance QPR's commercial interests, too. With development a cornerstone of the new training facility, TSG is also an acronym for three key values that will be applied as part of the club's development strategy - train, succeed, grow. QPR co-owner Ruben Gnanalingam said: “It is truly an honour for my family to see the training ground named after my father. "The drive he had to succeed in business can be applied to all walks of life - including football. "Hopefully, our players and staff can harness that spirit when they come into work and see his name above the door every day." www.qpr.co.uk/news/2023/november/01/heston-naming-rights/

And Wycombe Wanderers move into Harlington. That is quite a result for Imperial - what else were they going to do with it. Wycombe looking to move out of their dump at Marlow, having tried to buy the Reading state of the art training ground earlier. From buying Reading's set up to renting Harlington...bit of a step up from what they had but a step down on Reading. QPR, Wycombe and Brentford's training grounds, all within a stone throw of one and other now.
