Three games too late but good out of his depth by a mile.
IMO if we go down by a couple of points , it’s because the owners didn’t change things after Blackburn.

Has to be someone that knows club and players as must hit the ground running given points gap and therefore can’t afford someone who needs 5/6 to get to know the surroundings. Therefore Warburton, Warnock or Eustace for me. Might need them all!

He was a terrible appointment in the first place. Should have gone at the end of last season. A terrible summer transfer window, no one wanted to come here and play for him. The football is dire.

If only Gareth had signed Jamie Vardy as the isolated striker we could have been half way up the league  The days of Dig in Battle and play for the no score draw and hoof the ball up field hoping that something will turn up are over. The strategy worked all those years at Wycombe because mainly it was the bottom 2 Divisions and he always had lone strikers up front who when the long ball came to them they were capable to go on and score. Also there were a number of goals from set play during that era and the defence better organised. Our Strikers cant hit a barn door at six paces and our our defenders don't exactly exhibit a watertight quality. Set Play? Hmmm. Ipso Facto. Failure. Shame. |
