My new favourite Scottish team (aka. Anyone that pays against Rangers) won the Cup final, good to see "He who should not be named" lose his first major trophy.

I don’t blame Beale, he wanted to improve himself it’s all fine with me. If any of us got offered promotion with 10K - 20K more on our salary in a different role or whatever , would we really worry about how the old team we worked with are getting on. It’s progression. Ferdinand and the owners new exactly the risks when they employed him. I blame them as much as MB.

I do blame Beale for much of where we find ourselves today. For such a great communicator, did he not understand the constraints in the Championship? It was said that he intervened the board and gave an impressive Powerpoint presentation. Surely, he understood what he was joining - and yet, he was touting himself around to Stoke & Wolves in a matter of weeks. He gave his media delivery about how he could not walk away having committed to the players he signed. Then he did just that. The loans we signed were sold a tale by Beale - they have no loyalty to QPR and just want out - and yet we have to play most of them if they are fit. We compounded the problem by replacing larger than life Beale with a dour Critchley - something that had already had poor consequences at Villa. I am not sure that Critchley ever had the dressing room - but when he called them out, they did not like it and switched off. Tales started to circulate of the clubbing mentality of some of our players - some that would rather fall sick than do a late away finish on a Saturday evening. Some of these players let it be known their thoughts when out clubbing. Had Beale still been here, would these same playershave lost their discipline? Would he had jumped all over it? I guess we will never know, and it is all about opinions, often based on hearsay and conjecture. But under Beale the spirit and togetherness of the squad was one of the best I can remember. After he left it is the polar opposite. For Ainsworth to have a chance, we have to get to the Summer, hopefully still in the Championship and let him build his own team. But we now have a Head Coach who is proven in the third tier - we may need him

Just to be clear I blame Beale 99.9% for the current stateof play on the pitch, the running of the club is another story. Would I move for more money, better prospects, etc...absolutely if those things were important to me, would I do it after giving an impassioned speech about loyalty and convicting people to stay with him 100% NOT no matter what the offer. The owners found him and we all loved them for it and thought it was a master stroke, the owners backed him to bring in his players and we all loved them for it. So NO I dont blame the owners for the current poor form. Not even form bringing in Critchely, I thought he would be good for us too but anyone taking over form Beale had a very tough job on their hands.

That would be like you moving in your role and taking promotion and all you mates in the department you left saying I blame Surrey for this mess 😀 I get where you’re coming from but our owners weren’t stupid , you get a high profile prospect and you run the risk of them getting poached. we started off so well that he was on everybody’s radar straight away, shame we didn’t start off like one in 17 then go on the good run 😉

In hindsight I would like to think MB would do it another way but he did what he did and said what he said, he had the players on a high ready to go for it for to then walk away and stick his fingers up at us , the players, coaches and others. If my manager did that to me I know it would affect my work and make me wonder if i should be staying too, when you are at the top of your sport the mind plays a massive part in your performance. QPR is currently lacking on confidence, we are lost on the pitch with a young team that need that confidence back. Ys there are other things we need to consider, luck, injures, etc but this all stems from one person.

The biggest mistake MB did imo was making that ridiculous three minute long video after Wolves came in for him , then to go about 3-4 weeks later. That was a stupid thing to do. Did Beale sell the dream to the squad yes he did, did it totally derail our season when he went, yes of course but I’ve got to the stage now where I don’t really worry about him anymore, we have bigger concerns like getting another 7-8 points to stay in this League.

Absolutely, if he hadn't have done that my attitude towards him would be much different.
