QPR boss Gareth Ainsworth told BBC Radio London:
"I'm not going to rose-tint things but I thought we were competitive with a team that's one of the favourites for promotion. The third goal was a real killer as well because at 2-1, you've always got a chance. Second half, Blackburn controlled the game a bit more and maybe there were tired legs out there.
"He [Ilias Chair] was amazing and losing him, it whacks the players as well - he's a superstar for the club and once you lose someone like that it's going to hit you hard.
"But I have to say the boys rallied round each other. I've got some good leaders here, they've just got to start getting the others believing and get the right culture and start winning games. I'm going to have a full week training now, hopefully we can get some principles into them and go again next Saturday.
"It's a big education for me today, seeing the team playing in the flesh. You see the videos but seeing what they can put on the pitch is vitally important and I'm taking plenty of notes and ironing out plenty of problems."

So Chair is out for a while. Can Gareth save us? Somehow, I think he will. I don't know why. What do others think

Not impressed with the post match interview, rose colored glasses comes to mind. Can’t disguise how bad we are, sloppy defending toothless finishing seems endless and all of us hope that Gareth can turn it around.. if he can’t then it shows how Critchley was just thrown under a bus.

Or maybe he just does the public positivity while when he talks to the players; makes clear. Or in his team selection...Or he's giving them a chance before cracking the whip.
So we'll see. Every manager has his own style of managing. What ultimately matters is what he's thinking to himself and of course how he gets the team to play

Can’t argue the fact that Chair going off changed the game for us. Chair is the creator and without him or Willock there we have no creativity.
When he did go off , I was hoping for Amos or Richards but back to the norm.. Dozzell. Not to knock the lad but what does he add to the team? Like a taller version of George Thomas

I love chair, i really do. Great player, great person and I believe he genuinely loves the club, however, he holds the ball far too long when we need crosses or shots on goal. Will be interesting to see how we now play when its likely we will now be going for shots for all over the field and long balls to the box.

In fairness, did you want him to do a Critchley and throw them under the bus?
That would really help his, and our, cause.
Whatever he has to say to them he will say in private.
It's mind boggling how previously good players cannot do simple basic things right now.

I have faith Ainsworth will get us out this mess. I didn’t have with Critchley though…. We will get the points to stay up, I’m confident we will finish 20th or 21st

Truly a bizarre ending to the season. Can vaguely understand players not caring or losing morale - and certainly/obviously totally having lost confidence. But don't understand all the mistakes the players making

Truly a bizarre ending to the season. Can vaguely understand players not caring or losing morale - and certainly/obviously totally having lost confidence. But don't understand all the mistakes the players making This. It's basic errors that are killing them. If they literally did the simple things properly, such as clearing the ball to Row Z instead of messing about trying to play their way out of a dangerous situation, or being able to retain possession after our own throw ins, we'd actually be fine. It's hard to fathom what the mindset is where you simply and repeatedly fail to do the basic fundamental things you were trained to do at junior level.
