How does one judge?
Could someone do better?
What are the skill sets for a Director of Football.
He was appointed as I recall as a kind of bridge for Tony Fernandes et al.
And he certainly brings "prestige" to the club as "Sir Les" and a former QPR Hero?
Is that enough? I guess bottom line; that's for Club Owners to decide...

The club/owners set his remit. He is judged against that remit.
I think the fans calling for Les and Lee to be removed either do not understand their remit or disagree with it.

Q: Is Les F a good director of football? A: Depends if he knows when the time is right to sack the manager!

Q: Is Les F a good director of football? A: Depends if he knows when the time is right to sack the manager! Is it just down to him? No idea. The question is DOES HE KNOW WHEN is the right time. As most of us as QPR supporters know the time to sack the manager is NOW!

No idea. The question is DOES HE KNOW WHEN is the right time. As most of us as QPR supporters know the time to sack the manager is NOW! If it isn't just down to him, the question is irrelevant. Too many people seem to think that Les Ferdinand is responsible for every thing that happens at the club. If it was up to the supporters, we'd go through 20+ managers a season!

Too many people seem to think that Les Ferdinand is responsible for every thing that happens at the club. If it was up to the supporters, we'd go through 20+ managers a season! So many understandably negative thoughts and comments bounding around I'm not sure which thread to post this on but here goes. Funny how fans "know" when to sack the manager, DOF, owners, Jude the Cat or anything else you can name. We have seen the same bunch of posters over recent seasons calling for heads to roll; experts on who should come in, but where are we now - up the creek without a paddle according to the same experts. As I always said be careful what you wish for. I am also reading a growing number of "we are doomed to League 1, just accept it and kick start from fresh next season" or sentiments of that type; again I say be careful what you wish for. if the worst happens and we are relegated we will lose most of the players of any potential for nothing - does anyone think that Seny; Chair, Willock Dickie Dunne Paal etc etc will hang around? we will lose match day income, EFL income, TV money, advertising and sponsorship while the costs of keeping Loftus Road fit for spectators will continue to increase until it falls apart. On top no money for transfers and a reduced wage budget that will see us raiding the non league in hope. Far from it being a kick start it will be a step back, the start of further decline and relegation to the second division quite likely in our first season down. Now no true fan including me is happy with where we are and how we have fallen apart, everyone has ideas on how to change things and of course have the right to voice their discontent and opinions. I do not know the answer but i do know the solution is to try to solve the problem and not give up or get stuck in the blame game. Our fans can play a massive role in helping the team by staying loyal and supportive - so far many have. I've been at it for 60+++years so will not be changing now. At the moment the players probably prefer to play away than at home; For once I rate Derby fans higher than ours. Look how they kept behind the team last season even when the inevitable happened. The players know how the fans feel both from being booed off the pitch to some pretty nasty stuff aimed at individual players on social media. Despite the "They don't care" posts i do not believe any player can be enjoying what is going on. Now is the time when the players and club need the fans more than ever - stay with them and don't give up please. Unfortunately i will not be posting for a month or so while I have bigger issues to deal with that put football into perspective. Hopefully I will be able to return and will be commenting on our improvement soon. PS Boro 0 - QPR 2

PS Boro 0 - QPR 2 Of course there will negative comments though, what is it one win in 15 matches, barely a goal, going backwards as a Club, records keep getting broken this year. Latest one, first time ever had three x 3-0 losses at home in our history, shows what a shocking show this has been. The club new the risks with Beale, they probably didn’t think it would be so quick but they knew he was very high profile and would go to Rangers or the Prem. Then there’s the replacement, 3 1/2 year mind blowing contract as bad as the Kakay and others the clubs been handing out of recent times. We have gone from top to 17th in a mater of months, it’s been a blimmin landslide. To be fair if those bottom four weren’t so truely as bad as they are we would be in a bigger hole than we are now. Results the last few weeks have gone in our favour otherwise we might be a game off the bottom three. As it stands we should still be ok , I reckon we can get the three wins to keep us up. If we lose at Boro though, they have to make a change, the atmosphere will be toxic against Blackburn and the crowd will be smaller. I would say around 75 % of the fan base wants changes now, not just Critchley but deeper than that. We somehow as a club have to roll our sleeves up, so far the signs from Critchley is he can’t stop the rot. I worry after Boro and Blackburn when we play the bottom teams. We have Birmingham at home and away at Wigan,Rotherham and Blackpool. On the last few weeks showing, can you see this lot rolling up our sleeves and fighting to make sure we at least get a draw at these grounds? Im not so sure ? Will be good to get you back next month robindubois, hopefully we will have had a win by then.

Out of all of this, I think it's time for the players themselves to start giving a shit. Once that first whistle blows, only they have the ability to make something positive happen and they have 90 minutes to do so. The manager might decide the tactics or style of play before the game and even try and change them during the game. But at the end of the day, it's down to the players. And do the give a shit and how much do they give.
