This podcast is much harder work than the Les Ferdinand pod. Partly due to the questioning. But absolutely nothing going on re. Linford Christie - and no appetite to look elsewhere it seems. So a lengthy discussion about Loftus Road instead..... If you only have time to listen to one, listen to Clive & Les.

Lee Hoos, obviously unwell, but he seemed pretty low - almost defeated by the situation. He expressed more frustration regarding Beale than Ferdinand did. But no sign at all of a new stadium. Seemed pretty devoid on ideas and potential. We need to develop talent for onward sale - but 13 of our best graduates have been pinched by bigger clubs and all we received was £750k in total. Owners would put in more money if allowed but we are up against FFP threshold. Hoos made it sound more like that the Summer's signings were Beale's and he clearly wanted more and was told no. Ferdinand more diplomatic about the signings, but gave specifics about the signings. JCS on our list but offered more than we could afford at Coventry. Beale talked him into coming to QPR for less money. Ferdinand said he regularly reviews his own position - clearly aware of the stick he takes. Would not be surprised if Hoos jumps to a bigger club - maybe he feels he has taken QPR as far as it can go. I think that the Ferdinand interview informed of certain things, I don't think I discovered anything new from Lee Hoos. Clive's questions of Les were spot on - succinct and well researched. Some of the questions in the hour and a half of Lee Hoos took longer than the answers.
