As they say you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink. Maybe our players think they deserved champagne after a good start and turned their noses up at water. Then of course there is the no point hitting your head against a brick wall saying - if the players ignore their coaches instructions for months what will a coach do - give up or change the players - if he has the money and management backing to change them. Football used to be such an easy game until player power and Sky (ie money) came along. I'd like to correct you on one point. Football never existed prior to 1992 when Sky TV created a game and decided to televise it to the masses for a fee. What happened prior to that was a ball game that had loyalty, skill, crap pitches and World Cup winners, but it wasn't known as real football. I hope that clears it up for you. I look at it the other way round - football existed until 1992 the it became Skyball. Whatever - I think we are making the same point

We need a good performance. We can’t afford Huddersfield to get a win, they have Blackpool and Wigan next so we need to put some effort in today Hope the players show Critchley some respect.

Hoping Johanson starts today, drop Tim and give him something to think about.

Just need a win today...The confidence will surge back...And we'll start thinking again: "Maybe we can..."
But the absence of a goalscoring forward...

Will take a draw there, lost in 4 previous attempts. Which would probably in normal circumstances but deep down a draw against one of the worst teams in the league when you have only win once since October and when Critchley last week said things like, have to improve, unacceptable, big performance etc etc , we start off then just carry on into the QPR mould of late and go through the motions in the second half. The level of performance still wasn’t good enough for me, of course a bit better than Luton,Cardiff and Hull but the second half didn’t deserve to get three points. Limping our way to mid table, Clubs definitely going backwards for me and things need to change on the pitch and more importantly off. Too many others at the club getting a good wage for not delivering….

Bring on Millwall.

But what are saying here is a win is beyond us when we have had one Win since October. The Club is currently a bit of joke. They will end up paying off Critchley with Beales compensation if this continues. That wasn’t the reaction performance required after Hull, it was a bit better specially the start but they a weak team devoid of ideas and yet we still couldn’t beat them.

We will turn this around, we have the players, we have the coaches, its just a feckin awful slump caused by more than poor player performance and attitude which is temporary. Injuries has meant so many different team selections, Beale ..we'll not even talk about the damage he did, a world cup in the middle of a sason for gods sake! We have had 2 poor transfer windows in my opinion, a couple of good ones in Paal and Laird but the others I am not sure what they have added, Tim threatened to deceive but got too much attention for a young player still learning his game, we need a striker and in Lowe I think we have a good one but we will need to learn to play with him after 2 years of launching it up to Dykes. It could be worse, we could be Liverpool! Still a lot of season left to play.

Let’s be Frank here Surrey, that was a strong team today almost our strongest 11 that Beale had us top of the table with. The second half we had no idea against a very poor team indeed. Even Huddersfield fans are saying that was two points wasted.

I bet no one saw this slump coming when we were top of the league. I can't disagree with you about today, it was crap, but things could have been so different bar 2 last minute goals in previous games. I am pleased Huddersfield feel it was wasted, it will keep their moral low, they saw us as a chance to win just like we did them.

Being Positive – or just realistic? It is all about results, and we just cannot grind out a victory at present. But it is also about all the negativity surrounding the club right now – it has certainly impacted on the players: We are unhappy about what Beale has done to this club, he allowed us to dream and then destroy our hopes. His legacy of players who signed for him, many as loans contrary to our defined strategy / D D of Football responsibility etc. is what we now pay to watch. We are unhappy that the club only signed Lowe this January – however, last January, we panicked and loaned in Hendrick and Sanderson. We are better holding what money we have for the Summer than wasting it on such loans. Many wanted Dykes gone, but look how we struggle without him. Had we sold him, we could only afford another Dykes or another gamble. He will return. We are frustrated that Richards and Armstrong do not get many minutes. But Richards has lost a close friend and is not in the right state of mind and Armstrong is very raw and not able to complete 90 minutes. But they are the future. Blame is being sprayed around – the owners, CEO, D of Football, the players, the World Cup, the keyboard warriors – it hurts to see Brentford killing it yesterday again. In truth, they are all to blame for us not being as good as Brentford etc – but we are where we are. But the thread is about positivity so: We have 39 points and only need 13 more from 16 games. With 4 poor teams at the moment, we may need even less. Although we are not winning, we are drawing, had we won a few more and lost a few more, we would be better placed. We can judge Critchley once the Summer turnover of players is completed – hopefully directed by our recruitment team – but with Criotchley’s agreement. So that it can be his team. Hopefully, we have learnt lessons about loans after the last two seasons. Bristoil City have no loans, but instead are blooding their own youth products and selling for big money. Obviously, they have to be good enough, but our under 18s and the Academy give hope for the future. But I think that we have to take the most positivity from how we have got our house in order from the depths of despair. We thought that we were ahead of the game, other teams were playing FPP catch-up with us. Hopefully, that is still the case. The reality is that we supported a very bright ambitious coach, backing him with finance and players that he wanted and trusted. He let us down, leaving us up against the threshold with an underperforming squad – but I still hope and pray that we just need to get through to the Summer, write this season off, and ‘go again’. But no matter what, I can only support QPR, it is in the blood. There are teams closer to where I live, and the journey and W12 parking is a nightmare, but it is the hope that we can recreate that magic that keeps us going – so keep the faith!

I’m not so sure about all the negativity excuse. For heavens sake we have once since October there is bound to be some negativity, I’m surprised it hasn’t been more at home games to be fair. It was up to the players to start with a fresh plate with Critchley when he joined. There should have been a reset button, nothing happened though. Jury still out for me if players can’t be bothered or Critchley hasn’t got that motivation factor. It’s either one of them or maybe a bit of both.

Could grabbing Sean Derry help in turn the club around. The players need some discipline and need to show some respect.

I think the answer is a lot simpler about our stone drop every season. This squad needs experience/ knowhow , it’s there but when it’s not we fall apart (Johansen,Balogun). That’s when the youngsters lose belief and form when going gets tough and they have no answers.
Another change this summer to personnel and just hope we’re still in this league!
