It was quite clear that Colin chose his MoM within 5 minutes of the start of this game. Admittedly I’m not Dykes’s biggest fan but I’ve got to say possibly the best game I’ve seen him play.
However, apart from his work rate and putting himself about I simply fail to see what he has to offer. A quick turn of pace - no. Ability to beat defenders with his silky skills - no. Great header of the ball - no. Getting shots away - no. Great goal scorer - no.
Definitely a work horse who gives his all and holds the ball up but listening to Warnock you would have thought we had a potential world beater. A much improved all round performance from everyone involved, including Dykesy but MOM display, I beg to differ Neil especially after you talking him up from minute 1.
