news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/nottm_forest/8124445.stmNottingham Forest have completed the signing of striker David McGoldrick from Southampton for a fee of £1m. The 21-year-old, who started his career at Notts County, has signed a four-year contract at the City Ground. The Nottingham-born forward was ever-present in Southampton's Championship campaign last season, scoring 12 goals. McGoldrick told the club's website: "I'm a Nottingham lad and to get the chance to come back home where my family and friends are is a dream." He added: "Following Southampton's relegation my agent told me that a few clubs were interested in me. "Once I became aware of Forest's interest, I told him to get me there and he's managed to do that, which I'm very grateful for." Saints head coach Mark Wotte said: "David has family connections in Nottingham and was desperate to play in the Championship. We wish him well." The fee will boost cash-strapped Saints, who may have new owners soon as their parent company has been in administration since April. McGoldrick made four appearances for Notts County's first team before joining Southampton for an undisclosed fee, aged 16, in August 2004. He returned to the Magpies on loan the following year, and also had loan spells at Bournemouth and Port Vale, but was a regular for Saints last season as they were relegated to League One.

We have Agyemang Balanta Blackstocks staying, Nursing along Iceman, who could ask for anything more. also did yousee our debt
its tons more than when we were rescued. Now if those stingy fans would pay more to get in and not whine we would have more
more money to spend on our new restaurant. The way to a fans heart is through his stomach. (Terribly cynical post, but I dont
give a toss.

It would be beyond belief that for the 3rd or 4th year running no striker of a decent calibre will be signed.
The lack of goals is there for all to see, and whilst the likes of Peterborough and Forest are able to pick up young talented footballers, QPR are al talk and no do. Wake up Flavio before it's to late and release some cash for this much needed striker.

BBC Forest swoop for Liverpool winger Anderson never played a first-team game for Liverpool Nottingham Forest have wrapped up the permanent signing of Liverpool winger Paul Anderson for £250,000.
Anderson, 20, spent last season on loan at the City Ground and has agreed a three-year contract.
Swansea City were also keen to land Anderson, who was on loan at the Welsh club during the 2007-2008 season, and also had a bid accepted by Liverpool.
Anderson, who missed the early part of the season because of injury, made 28 appearances for the Reds.

Forest are investing in all the right areas and good luck to them.
WAKE UP FLAVIO, do you want QPR to succeed or not? No pain no gain, get that wallet out and invest in a couple forwards/fullbacks. Getting really frustrated now!!!
