Six changes and yet still a decent team. Not far short of a first team. Shows how far we have come in the last 2 years.

Good luck. Don't think there's a single QPR Fan who will be surprised if we lose this!

Shocking 2 shocking results , losing to Peterboro and Sunderland and with our forwards managed a single goal against those two teams, is poor. Poor performances indeed Mr Warburton

Robbed by a truly awful referee and linesman decision.
But that's the kind of breaks you need to progress in cup games and Sunderland got it.
Have to pick ourselves up for Forest now.

Poor performances indeed Mr Warburton Harr, if they had VAR we'd be through 1-0. There is no planet in this wide universe where Austin, standing 3 yards behind the defender gets called offside. Except tonight. This always looked like one goal would win it. We scored it and two incompetent officials bafflingly took that away from us.

Sky said it was incorrect decision.......as much as I hate Stroud, it was the linesman who over ruled the ref. Our penalty luck well and truly deserted us. Very poor penalties. How flat are we?

But this is the sad thing about it, Ricky. Fans will focus on the defeat and vent their fury and anger at the players and MW. And miss the point that the object of the game is to score in 90 minutes. The fact is that regardless of how badly you may or may not think QPR played and how well you may or may not think Sunderland were, QPR scored a perfectly legitimate goal in regulation time. Sunderland didn’t. But they will now go through because of a truly awful officiating decision. And the referee will face no repercussions for making a decision that will have a significant effect on the clubs finances. You need luck to progress in cup competitions and I don’t begrudge Sunderland that. But it is harsh when you have done everything you’re supposed to do (ie: score a perfectly legal goal and stop your opponent from doing the same) and then have it taken away from you for no valid reason.

Yes - and with it went our record of scoring in every game as well - when we really did score. VAR is much better managed now than last season, but I am still pleased that we do not have it for our games - but tonight we could have done with it. Officials make mistakes - a lot. Tonight we paid the price.

One further observation. Perhaps it was just my perception, but our midfield was woefully lackluster.
Defense played well overall-especially Barbet-and LD really put in a shift up front.
Free Faisal! (I know he is out on loan)

We have lost the spark from the end of last season and the start of this. Illias Chair was playing too deep for me last night and he looked frustrated which changed when he got pushed higher up the pitch. Dykes does a job but isn't the top drawer striker we need, Gray simply isn't good enough and I sounded my concerns when we first brought t him in on loan (He only scored 5 goals on a championship winning teams that were banging them from all angles)
I love watching Unc but he isnt a wing back, time and time again he was no where near their left winger and we got exposed, they should have scored at least 1 but Dieng made some good saves.
We need Dom Ball and Stef back on form and bossing the midfield.

The two photos I have seen of the disallowed goal show that even Helen Keller could have seen Austin was onside. Either that Lino had a tenner on Sunderland or he really needs to go to specsavers.

once again done over by Stroud and his crones , as soon as I saw Stroud was the ref I just knew the night was going to end in controversy and boy it did not disappoint me absolutely shocking decision Charlie was yards onside and the keeper touched the ball into his head ,robbed of a goal that should of counted ,but there you go we have issues with Stroud in every game of ours he referees also a bitter pill for me to swallow is the manager of Sunderland is Lee Johson ex Bristol City who I have a real dislike for , I can understand why people have asked for Stroud to be banned from officiating any more QPR games and have started a petition against him doing so ,rant over 🤣🤣
