No better sight than Chris Willock running at speed and turning defenders. What a goal that would have been if Charlie had kept it down!

A great performance from Chair, unlucky not to get a hat trick. Does Rangersman still think he should be dropped? Warburton doing a good job of mixing up his depleted squad. It must have confused the opposition to see Willock start at wing back. In fact, Brum probably thought that team was 4 4 2 on paper. We didn’t start well, but grew into the game. Both goals changed the momentum. I thought Deeney looked a lazy overweight lump, just as he did for Watford who were happy to free him. But we played better against Bristol and lost, it is a crazy league, a marathon not a sprint. Shocking conditions for keepers, Pleased to see Seny looking confident and commanding. I loved that the ref kept pointing to his watch during added time as we time wasted, but then blew up 10 seconds early. Probably wet and cold and longing for the shower! Well done, a real squad victory with Chair outstanding.

Just a comment about our strikers.... We have three good options, and yet somehow it always feels like we have made the wrong choice. Dykes could do little right last night but then made the second goal with a great pass to Chair. Charlie's lack of pace left us very poor in the final third - but then nearly scored with our best chances. Gray can do what the other two cannot, expose a sluggish defence with his pace, but frequently stands offside and rarely chases back as well as the other two do. Being positive, it is good that we have variation and options, being negative all three can be frustrating. A victory means we can concentrate on the positives though.
