Debt must be pretty big by now. Surely can't be less than it was when Briatore took over. And I'd imagine would be considerably increased.
If Mital left, as Scott at least hinted at (Talking to Al Fayed), we'd presumably be in big trouble. Also as Scott reported, we have a new mortgage (although didn't say for how much); and that's in addition to the 10 million ex-ABC loan (which we're paying 8.5%)
Ecclestone is, besides, getting old; having other priorities over QPR, and apparently maybe getting divorced.
Briatore is wealthy but not super wealthy...
Much of that big sponsorship money comes after (if) we get promoted to the Premiership.
On the one hand, we had the cup run...
On the other hand, we've spent millions on the ground - from boxes to chandeliers...
We've supposedly spent a lot on players wages, with at least 3 (according to Pete) earning in excess of a million pounds a year. Throw in Dowie's salary which we're still paying...
Don't know if we're paying Loan fees for our players such as Cook, Ledesma, Parejo, etc.
(Don't know if we have any agents/consultants fees to pay). Don't know if Briatore gets any salary from QPR.
Throw in the few million we spent last season: Vine, Delaney, Hall, Leigertwood, etc.
Add it all up: Just guessing, but I'd imagine our debt must be pretty big by now...
And we owe it to someone. It may be guaranteed by Mittal et al. But it's certainly owed.

I think we should lay off Bernie for a bit.
