I doubt we would get a refund but when you see what other clubs have got away with we should at least have the rest of the fine waived. Salary and transfer caps way below what clubs pay now are the only way we will survive and FFP will have been the beginning of our end.

I think we must be the only club that has paid any money.

I remember Bournemouth paying 4+ Million and Leicester about 3 Million but in terms of our fine I don’t think anyone in the U.K. paid much more than five until we came along and did it in style the QPR way.

Thats why Bernie Ecclestone said "The worse thing that could happen to QPR is to get promoted"

Big changes on the horizon to FFP. Expenditure fixed to 70% of income - will hit QPR hard in their current stadium. I cannot understand why they cannot come up with a formulae that allows rich owners to spend their dosh without wrecking the club in the process. I am all for player wage caps, relegation clauses, equity instead of loans, security bonds, or whatever, but the answer it seems is always a mathematical calculation rather than a business / open approach. Rich get richer - poor have to know their place. No room for ambition or change. If our fans have been frustrated by £39m losses across 3 years...... but at least they may address the parachute payments it seems. Would certainly diminish the yo-yo group of clubs. web.archive.org/web/20220408164910/https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2022/04/08/cost-controls-wild-west-championship-finally-sight/

With our current stadium, the cost of upkeep and staffing on match days, and limited capacity we will totally stuffed if we can only spend 70% of revenue. I am not sure if the Telegraph have this right . Are the EFL really saying they are switching from allowing 39million losses over 3 years to basically clubs have to make an operating profit or be fined? Rather than creating a level playing field this version of FFP works the wrong way round. How can we compete with say a Notts Forest or Sunderland or any team being relegated from the PL who will be averaging crowds twice the size of ours and consequentially far more revenue and ability to spend. Also what can be included in revenue. I assume it would include advertising in which case a rich owner with other businesses could pay a fortune to a football club for the owners other businesses. For example if Air Asia were highly profitable TF could get them to pay QPR 100 million a season for a couple of years for stadium naming rights, shirt advertising, pitch side adverts etc. The end result of that is no different to what we ended up being fined for in the first place. We may have to change managers after all and get one who works for nothing!

To be honest I've given up trying to workout the rules and fines for FFP ages ago . Totally unjust 😄🤣😄
