I think it is probably a good idea to give Chair a day off especially if the pitch is as bad as people say. Also leaving Dykes on the bench might do the trick to get him going.
If we are playing 4-3-3 as BBC say or 3-4-3 as the Offie says my only doubt is is playing Hamalainen. I would have put Field or Thomas ahead of him as a starter and would now expect to see Nico replaced at some stage - in fact with a slight tinker of formation or positions any of the subs except Lumley may be a better choice. Let's hope we get off to a good start to the game.

Seems this is not the sort of game we are going to win with flowing football. We need to keep it level to half time and re-form. I have a feeling that the first goal wins it and so far that does not like being us to score it. Fingers crossed.

Blame Warburton for taking Charlie off at 55 mins. By now he should be able to play a whole game.

Football was and has been awful for weeks now and that’s all teams not just us. The ball was in the air more times than it was on the ground, real schoolboy stuff. Should of seen the game out though, should have scored at least two more etc etc. Fact is we have had a good run in very difficult circumstances but been hard to keep awake at times

In truth we haven't been playing well for a few weeks but have edged some close contests. This one went the other way but it's still painful to lose when ahead with ten mins to go against a poor team.
At least might cool the play off talk. Top half and above last year is still a reasonable target.

We looked a bit jaded at Preston and today we scored and sat on the goal kind of thinking we would get the 1-0, then they get the goal and impetus and game over. Shame but we had a good run. Let’s get the three wins we need as soon as possible. Main thing is Sheff Weds and Rotherham lost so we maintained the 11 point gap. Tough games with a good form Barnsley side and a rejuvenated Bristol City with Pearson coming up now.
Annoying thing is Rotherham play Sheff Weds Wednesday, could do with a draw

Toastman is still obsessed with Dykes, silly subs in second half cost us dearly. He is still clueless and like someone said we have rode our luck last few games.

How to steal a loss from the jaws of victory lesson 1.01 Yes gutted but these things happen and we have snatched a few points in injury time. Important now is with a couple of games in hand on eth team above we need to get back to winning ways and all should be well.

Toastman is still obsessed with Dykes, silly subs in second half cost us dearly. He is still clueless and like someone said we have rode our luck last few games. Welcome back. My faith in human nature has been restored. After a couple of years as a guest reading your in depth posts with great amusement, I thought our recent good run and your subsequent silence meant you had been driven by taxi to post on Fulham's board. So I started to post in the hope that reasoned debate was returning to the board, but no such luck. If we win it is because we "rode our luck". If we lose it is because the manager is "clueless." Must put that in my little red book of leadership training quotes. Goes next to Donald Trump's once (actually many times) saying "win -good", 'lose - never happened, they cheated"

Positives from the game:
Dykes seems to be really improving his overall game and skill set.
Niko is getting there, slowly but surely in terms of toughness and decision making. He has the technical ability.
Kane is lifting his game on a steady basis. Phenomenal work rate.
Dom Ball remains steady.
Seny!!!
Negatives:
Goals, goals, goals.....when did we last score 3? (rhetorical, I know the answer)
Barbet and Geoff look gassed.
Missing anything?

I loved the Trump bit. I think his best though was: If there was less Covid testing, there'd be less positive results and it wouldn't be as bad as it is...or words to that effect.
