What does the ignoring actually mean? i do not understand. It means that while almost every other club in London; nearly early Prem Club and many others (I didnt check everyone) paid heed to Holocaust Memorial Day - and the Nazi slaughter of six million Jews - and numerous millions others - QPR Were silent. And remained silent even after I tweeted several times on the subject. Now you could argue QPR shouldnt pay heed to Racism or Homophobia or many other isms. But assuming that's not an argument In a time of growing anti-Semitism; I felt QPR should do this. And they obviously agreed And to add I deliberately didn't make a deal of it on this board for the past 2-3 weeks- to ensure people wouldnt say politicizing/"Special Interest" in this board. |

Well it is a special interest to about three generations. What happened during 1930 - 1945 was just plain wrong, disgusting and all that represents what is bad about the human race. But this is a football website and also the club are a football club and if they spent their time acknowledging everything that has happened in the world, they'd never get the chance to play or concentrate on football. Kids today would only know of it if it was in some Rap or Hiphop song or if some wannabe popstar used images on their MTV clip. sadly, they Generation "Me" don't want to know about anything but themselves. And can you Text it or put it up on Instagram with the Kartrashians??

I originally tweeted. Noted what so many other football Clubs were doing; and QPR were not.
I wrote to QPR about it.

It seems certain posters on here can't help but show their ignorance.
Too many people seem to forget that we should learn from history lest we repeat it. There are already recent examples where those lessons are already being forgotten, media demonisation of a race/religion is a prime example. Now, more than ever, we should be reminding people of these lessons at every available opportunity.

However, there is still a groundswell of common sense, decency, true (not trendy or crowd pleasing) intellectual curiousity within our society. It is evident in my children (OK, adults now) grandchildren and their peers. I would bet good money that the same is true for all the QPR Report members' offspring and circles. Smart, ethical people of ALL backgrounds and faiths are fighting back against this self destruction of our society. Lemmings and parasites will always be a part of every society, but responsible leaders will help gently redirect that (hopefully!). In the meantime, terrifying my neighbours into thinking that 1970 Roger Daltrey has moved in... COME ON YOU RRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! (120 dBS) |
