Pretty depressing really. In first half we had all the play and created nothing - penalty was from a foul on the edge of the box where there was no danger. Still it was hard to see how we would lose this. Yet in the second half when Coventry upped the tempo our defence was woeful, just clueless. Does sound familiar but don't think we have the attacking capability this year to make up for a leaky defence.

Not a great performance that, shame after the first 30 mins thought we were going to boss it.
Then the errors at the back come in and then it’s hard work when you keep conceding and we lack a bit of umff.
Certainly need a bit of firepower up front, like last season we can keep possession ok but as we know you can have 70% and still lose.
Oh well no point dwelling on it, move on.

In his pre match interview MW recognised last season we were poor defensively and had been working on putting it right clearly a hell of a lot to do looked completely clueless 2nd half we have some tidy ball players but no cutting edge tough season ahead

It seemed to be our match quite nicely actually. 1-0 before half time and it all went as planned... Then bang! 1-1 just before break and Sky Blues got an edge when going for half time... After that, anything and everything is possible for the second half. BANG! 2-1 for home team and just in five mins second half.
Everything changed. Suddenly QPR struggled, but Cameron rallied the team when needed... In the end, to my eyes it seemed that we lost the game to loss of character between the posts. It certainly woudn´t be the first time.

I'm trying to temper my expectations this season. I've pegged us to be in a relegation battle all season, so this is where we are.
The defence is what it is and if they haven't figured out how to defend crosses and corners by now, after week after week of being undone by the same thing over and over again, then I don't think they ever will.
Everyone in football can see what the problem is that's holding this team back. We just don't seem to be able to address it properly.
Just enjoy the ups when they come, like last week, and don't get too despondent on the downs, cos it looks like there's going to be many more weekends like this one to come.
