One interesting observation, when Clarke came on for Hugill, it seemed that it was pre-planned. Bright was already moving to the centre, Hugill was moving towards the bench and Clarke ran straight on to the right flank replacing Bright. There were no instructions shared with the substitution, so I can only conclude that this was a pre-match plan. Possibly to rest Hugill but also to ensure that we had a plan B for when Hugill is injured or suspended. Of course, Bright is equally close to a suspension. Sods law they will both miss the same games! But good management I thought.

I was surprised at how BOS grew into the centre forwards position.
I've not seen this as a possibility for him & he started by looking confused as to how to play this. But then something seemed to click & he gave us a real outlet - aerial, hold up & running the channels. Very impressive!
So to was how our three younger players closed down the Derby defence & 'keeper.

Let’s win on Saturday and see where we are in the league - then talk about possible promotion Not from me. Stay up, mid table and consolidate in the summer. That'll do for me.

Wigan, Barnsley and Luton giving gutsy performances down there this week, they keep on winning. Losses for Boro, Charlton and Hull, Stoke draw. 9 points clear with 11 to go, could be a really high points number someone goes down with this season. Last year third from bottom only had 40 points, Wigan already on 37 with 11 games to go.
Wigan away at WBA Saturday though. Still like a point or three Saturday please, let’s get that 50 points on board

Boro only above Wigan on goal difference now. I think at least one of the current bottom 3 will escape the drop - possibly 2. I think either Hull or Middlesborough may drop. Hull have Leeds on Saturday, if results go against them they could be just one point above the drop zone by Sunday. Although that would require Wigan to win at WBA of course.

Wigan and Barnsley are two of the top 5 in the Championship form table (over the last 6 matches). Middlesbrough, Hull and Reading comprise the bottom three. Interesting tussle going on down there (and nice that we're not involved)

Wednesday would also be right in the mire IF they were to receive a points deduction.
I had already uopgraded the normal 46 point requirement to avoid relegation this season to 48, but I'm starting to think that 50 is now the target!
Our remaining matches have started to look a little harder though, but that is the case with nearly all clubs. Hull are my favourites to go down.

7 of our 11 remaining games, are against teams below us in the league. 2 of the 4 games against teams above us, are at home Fulham and Millwall. West Brom away last game will probably be a dead rubber for them. I can see a top 10 finsh. Considering the amount of new players that had to be brought in and a bottom 3 budget, this would be a fantastic achievement by the manager and players.

I havnt really a clue who is going to go down, think it will be three from six from Luton, Barnsley, Wigan, Stoke , Boro and Hull and think Reading and Huddersfield will survive. I have to confess none of them are the three I want to go down that would be from Millwall, Leeds, Brentford and Fulham

I am struggling to see where we would lose I do agree with some of the comment above, the teams below us, especially much lower down, are now picking up points so a few more wins / draws will certainly help settle the nerves. I think these are winnable based on what i have seen so far this season H: Brum H: Barnsley A: Charlton A: Wigan H: Wednesday A: Luton

I think I'd much rather play teams above us at this stage of the season. Teams fighting for their Championships are potentially much more dangerous.

I actually think we have difficult fixtures left, with the games against Luton, Wigan, Barnsley & Charlton very tricky!
However, I forecast the results of every Championship left & had us finishing 10th on 62 points.
West Brom finished a point above Leeds & Middlesbrough, Stoke & Hull were relegated. I think I may have shown a little bias against the relegated clubs as they are the three (from the possibles) that i would want to drop!

When you put it in terms of form of last 6 games
Wigan, 3rd 11 points Barnsley 5 th, 10 points Charlton 10 th, 9 points Luton 11th , 9 points
QPR 15 th, 8 points Huddersfield 16 th, 7 points Stoke 17 th , 7:points
Reading 22nd 5 points Boro 23rd 2 points Hull 24th 2 points
If this form continues, it’s quite conceivable that two from Luton, Barnsley and Wigan could get out of this and be replaced with Hull and Boro. Boro don’t seem to hardly score a goal. I guess all three could get out of it even.

Current form is one thing, but once we're safe (which I'm sure we will be very soon) there's the danger our motivation will tail off as players have their minds on sunny beaches...
