Well I thought you were supposed to make predictions before the game started but even with a 30 minute free start he still gets it wrong. Not sure which is better the match excitement or following these ramblings no doubt coming from the pub. A great win. Some bizarre results today, not least bottom placed Barnsley winning 3-0 at Fulham!
Up to 16th, 11 points off play-offs and relegation.

Well that is why we turn up for football on days like today. However, it will be a bloody long way home for a noisy Stoke support - well noisy for the first 30 minutes. We looked good today, did not deserve to be 2 behind as we could have been 3 up before they scored. I could not see that outcome when we went 2 down. The negatives first - Well we conceded another two poor goals. Manning was caught out of position for the first goal. The second goal conceded from the other wing. Hugill missed some easy(?) chances. Still not sure about Pugh Got soaked walking to and from the ground Now the positives - Manning was very good going forward and crossing. Hugill scored. Barbet had another good game and played the ball out well in difficult conditions. We mastered the conditions really well and somehow sprayed the ball around We scored at good times. All times are good, but they hit us twice. We hit them twice. Cameron and Ball controlled the middle - they were playing against senior pros, but shared a great performance. All six goals today were pretty impressive. So pleased that Chair scored, he worked so hard when he came on. Then there was Bright & Eze - absolutely brilliant. Hard to find the words for their skill levels today. They play together so well. Stoke could not get near Eze and Bright has such pace and upper body strength. Both scored very good goals and some of the things that Eze tried today was simply outrageous. It is ok being mid-table when we are treated to performances like that. In those conditions we had no right to expect a display like that. When it works for QPR it is bloody good. I will settle for 4-2 but it could have been far more.

Rick, does having Kelly. in goal help us i e more confidence that he won't flaIl about. tho I see he did fumble one chance. Sadly, Lumley's loss of confidence spread throughout the team. Heads dropped after a clanger. I don't think there is a lot to choose between an in form Kelly or an in-form Lumley - but it is a long time since we have seen an in-form Lumley. I am not sold on Kelly, but he is an obvious starter. Kelly was lucky to get away with his error today. I think that Kelly does have an error in him most games. But his distribution is better than Lumley's and he is more mobile than Lumley (recently Lumley has looked slow to get down). But Kelly is a tad short and the ball can sail over him. I hope Lumley rediscovers some form out on loan.

Thanks Ricky. Of course I was used to Reg Allen. imo our greatest goalkeeper, better than Seaman, rate 2nd. then Phil Parkes, Jan Steksjal when we finished 5th in the Prem.

I'm not sure where to start with today!
Maybe with it took me four hours to get back to Ipswich. Thank you Greater Anglia!
Stoke go two goals in front with what they would regard as well worked proper goals. They were, but our defending for them was bordering on woeful! Apart from these, I thought we defended quite well & it is great to have rangersman favourite player back. Barbet IS the best in the club & also better than we have had for a while. Rangel helps to give us the balance that we require as well.
Two down when we should have been two up! I suppose that the Hugill miss was worse than the Manning one but there wasn't much in it! We also missed at least two more simple chances - Hall with the last touch of the first half & BOS with the worst of them all. BUT we still scored four & all were from good footballing moves. I'm sure Stoke fans will question the defending though!
MOM? Not a clue! Cases could be made for Barbet, BOS & Eze for sure, but I would go for Hugill! For the third game running he missed an early chance that he MUST score, but he didn't let it get to him & he worked tirelessly. Leading from the front, scoring & setting up Eze (unless I'm mistaken). I don't think he is worth the fee that will be wanted for him, but let us enjoy the work he does for us while we have him.
I have a better regard for Pugh than ricky & roller do. No, he hasn't set the world on fire & he doesn't create anything like Chair, but I do believe he has helped Manning in the last two games & has contributed to the four points gained. However, Chair & Clarke are far more likely to win matches for us!
I'm very happy that we made the trip to The Bush today rather than hide from this so called storm. What could be better on a saturday than to have a few drinks with roller & Beth followed by watching Rangers win a game by playing football on the carpet?
*EDIT
I've now seen the highlights & it was Pugh & not Hugill who passed to Eze. I've also read that it was Pugh & not Manning (not shown on the highlights) who should have scored!

I've also read that it was Pugh & not Manning (not shown on the highlights) who should have scored! I agree that Hugill really put in a shift today. He is the sort of striker who misses the easier ones and scores the tougher ones. I have not seen the highlights but he seemed to take his goal well. As for Pugh, when he missed that chance there was a huge groan around R Block. But as for not recognising players, I tend to go by the colour of their boots now. Far easier than trying to read the shirts LOL.
