Lumley has gifted them a goal, that has to be addressed

I would put Kelly on for the second half, just to force home the point.

Great first half where we could have been 5 up, ruined by our keeper - if Luton score the next goal it's twitch time in a game we had sewn up. Frustrating.. Just when it looked like we might give someone the thumping that has been threatening with the chances we make. Just tempting fate but 3 more in the second half will do. After that maybe time to give Kelly a run and see if he can pass the ball to the right team. Guess what!

Well we held on - but those 2 goals against moved us out of 5th down to 7th. It just looked so much better being in the top 6 - plus this league is so tight goal difference is important. Oh for a few clean sheets and that 6-0 win I am still waiting for. I'll take the 3 points but do not like the way we ended up doing it. We're going to be a bit like Norwich this season. Can't keep Clean sheets and need to score 2 or 3 to win. However, 7th place is a good place to be. Happy with that.

Tis the QPR way but I'll take it. 3 wins on the bounce and in the mix. Top 2 both lost today, love how tight the Championship gets!

Just home and have a bit of a headache from the stress of it all!
We absolutely decimated them most of the first half. Fantastic, positive link play. Eze was something else, yet again.
Was weird how Luton stood off us so much, though. For two of the goals, I genuinely thought the ref had whistled or something - Luton's defence just absolutely froze. They've had an alright start to the season but they looked absolutely overawed for the first 45.
Obviously Lumley had a complete and utter meltdown to let them back in and I think that plus the fire the manager must have set under them at half time changed the momentum.
Again, weird though as it isn't like we fell apart in the second half. We were sloppier, but we also kept creating chances and easily could have put the game to bed numerous times. For all the cool finishing Hugill has done recently, I can't remember the last time I've seen a striker keep leaning back so often - time after time, with space, he skied presentable chances and his head went down.
This was also one of the very few times this season that I thought the subs weren't great. Ricky pointed out to me that Chair and Wells had both played for their countries and done a lot of travelling, so I suppose them being taken off made sense. But we really lost our movement in the middle of the park. I am pretty intrigued by Mlakar, though. Cannot tell if he's ropey or just a bit rusty and needs a goal to kick on. He looks awkward and not necessarily in a bad way, I'm kinda intrigued by him.
Not nice scenes outside the ground and some horrid far right nonsense going on.
Bottom line though - 3 points, ruined Luton's massive day out and into 7th. Not to be sniffed at.

For forty minutes we were superb (and that included Lumley's distribution!). Eze was undefendable (another million or so added to his valuation) & our movement & passing were far better than we have seen for years. Certainly since the Warnock promotion team, but this team has more outlets than that side. Obviously, we suffered from their first goal, but we had the chances to have scored eight! I would also say that was the best Barbet has been for us & I made him the best defender on the pitch.
I hadn't considered that international appearances could have contributed to the substitutions, so thank you bow & Ricky for putting that thought forward.
I told Roller that I'm reminded of when Gordon Jago took over as manager. That is very high praise!
These are exciting & entertaining games down at The Bush. so get there if you possibly can! I wish I was able to go to Millwall next week, rather than have to wait two weeks to see us play again!

Great to get the three points, when was the last time we won three straight league games? Keep it going. Hate playing Millwall, never seem to get anything there.

Could and should have been 5-0 at half time. Lumley needs to be dropped, you cant give away goals like that at this level. Great atmosphere in and outside the ground today, bit of a throw back and loved every minute of it. Urrrrrrrrrrrrrssssss

Great first 30 minutes, some of the best football that I can remember from our team of late. Sadly, I think that Lumley may lose his place for one too many costly errors. I thought his distribution was the best it has been yesterday....and then... But he kept playing and made some good saves. The crowd was buzzing and then the error not only let Luton back in, it quietened the crowd. Not because it was a goal, but more the nature of the goal I think. But sooooo glad we hung on as I think Luton were pretty disappointing and were lucky to escape a real hiding. We got caught up in some of the unpleasantness outside. A group of about 300 assembled on the corner of Bloemfontein (by Sainsburys). They were not wearing colours. The police were videoing the group. But then the 'leader' gave the word and they started to move quickly down the centre of Bloemfontein chanting for the Rangers (no idea if they were QPR or not though).Police ran from everywhere with batons and fists flying and forced then back up the road down South Africa Road. The group surged forward again and more police dived in. Pretty scary stuff though. Not too sure about the police tactics, as we were just passing and they were just swinging at anyone. Some senior citizens were asking to be allowed through to get to Ellerslie Road but the police were having none of it. Those caught up could not go back and could not go forward. My son is special needs /disabled and although 36 years old was very frightened. I was worried for him, that he would not be quick enough to side step when necessary. After the game, we were not allowed to leave down Bloemfontein, so a pretty long walk round the ground to get back to the car. Just an observation. Whoever that group were, they were organised and arrived from an unusual direction. The police were expecting them and were well manned. We could hear the police radios and was very enlightening. It was like an army maneuver! The trouble with Luton goes back a very long way. I can remember going to Luton and getting a very rough from the police and the Luton mob. But some great football, does not need that yesterday.

I heard Warburton say it on BBC London on the way home.

Decent performance and result, but can't get too carried away by our unexpectedly heady position in the league. We've picked up useful points against lower sides, which will stand us in good stead later in the season and I think we have an outside chance of a play-off place. But I think we have an even greater chance of dabbling with relegation come next March - but most likely mid-table, plus or minus 3 places. Which will be fine by me

Having seen Joe Lumley's howler on the highlights package, I agree that it's time to give Kelly a go. Inexcusable even though Warburton seems to be excusing it.

Damn, I've got a nose bleed, are we really in 7th? I watched Huddersfield v Sheff Wednesday, that looked like a decent enough game but Huddersfield are clearly missing a striker....and Aaron Mooy.
