From the Offie
QPR boss Steve McClaren has named the same starting line-up that featured in the R's pre-season friendly against Union Berlin.
That means a QPR debut for defender and captain Toni Leistner whilst Eberechi Eze also starts in attack

They need to scrap the long ball approach. We also should have converted that set piece. Better than being down at the half!

Well in terms of performances, agree with WLS, was Toothless....... need some players in this week, we have needed them all summer. Defenders and a finisher.

Unless we get a new striker, we are going to struggle to win away again. Washington/Smith/Sylla cannot play up front on their own.

We have a tough start so we have to up our game. I’m not disappointed to lose away to Preston, however I am extremely disappointed with the performance. Let’s face it, it was a canter for Preston, their only fault was they didn’t kill us off sooner. McClaren needs to make sure we do more with the ball when we have it. It’s ok have a less possession providing when you get it, you use it. I am losing face in Sylla and Washington though, Ok the goalkeeper saved well but you have to bury those chances even if defenders are around you. Anyhow, I’m over that one now, let’s face, Preston beat Cardiff 3-0 at home last year first game, so no real indication of how season will pan out. Please get a Goalscorer in this week, WBA getting Gayle on loan did make me vomit earlier

Well we are sitting 23rd at the moment. The only way is up! Could be worse - we could be bottom.
If memory serves me well we were in the top couple after the first game or two last season and that did not prove anything did it. 2nd or 3rd after the first game I believe and your right it means nothing.

Has anyone else noticed that - bar Villa and Hull who play tomorrow - EVERY Championship side scored in their first game...except us.

Has anyone else noticed that - bar Villa and Hull who play tomorrow - EVERY Championship side scored in their first game...except us. QPR took thousands of punters coupons down this weekend , people that did both teams to score bets. They took my line of six Championship games down but some people were set to win thousands if we scored. Never bet on QPR to score away

We are already on the way up - 22nd now after the Stoke loss, and after tonight we could be out of the bottom 3 - and not be the only team not to have scored away in their first game of the season. Anyone notice how many early goals were scored on Saturday before teams had settled down and how many last minute and injury time goals went in as well. Never bet on QPR to score away? ? Better idea is never bet on QPR to win, lose, draw, score or not score, keep a clean sheet or not - we have no idea what we will do next. Being a QPR fan can be tough at the best of times without losing money on it as well. (Being a QPR fan can be tough at the best of times without losing money on it as well. . ) I know but my heart always rules over me 75(57)

(Being a QPR fan can be tough at the best of times without losing money on it as well. . ) I know but my heart always rules over me 75(57) Me too. My Heart tells me we are going to win every game even though my head often tells me otherwise - I just don't bet on it either way! I don’t blame you 75 you have the right idea. I just bet for a bit of fun, no big gambler, do 5 x £1 lines a weekend ( sort of replaced the lottery for me) all the winnings goes into a pot for my two sons... Last year they had just under £300 Not sure why I am still giving them my cash as over 20 now . The things Dads do eh.....😆 Generally we always score at home, so I will carry on putting them down for home games but I think I will give QPR away games a miss for a flutter as we don’t really score that many away from LR. When will we ever improve our away for though. NW just made us hard to beat away from home, he was happy enough to just travel and get a point, worked well. Years ago when 2 points for a win ( showing age now ) if you won your home games and drew away you could pretty much challenge for the League.
