On the one hand, when they took over, they categorically and repeatedly said, wouldn't be throwing money at QPR...we were going to be made into a business...this was a several year plan (and by the way, fans should butt out of trying to be involved re this). And of course "They Saved the Club." Minuted from the end.
On the other hand, we never believed them about the several year plan; they are billionaires; would be an "investment" to get us up fast; they raised money by raising ticket prices
And then there's the question of the alleged new mortgage. We have no idea how much it is for; and why.
The ABC Loan wasn't exactly paid off; it was really just made into a new loan with a new group (Briatore invovled)
Spending: On the Boardroom and the boxes, etc rather than the rest of the stadium.
The New Crest: Ugh!
The second and third strips: Opinions differ, but mine is "not so great" (and end those hoops socks with the hoops)
Spending on Players; Transfer fees and wages. Not enough spent on players; long term contracts and high wages.
Not having the Manager buy the players...Bad. But even worse, the way we seem to be buying players.
The Players we actually have signed: Not so great. And the players we haven't signed. * Maybe in January
Boardroom interference with manager, and team selection and coming to the dressing room/talking to players...
So we come to the possible Ainsworth appointment. And that too is highly problematic.
And if we're team building, rather than go for promotion this season (which I doubt), we'd surely be bringing in very different players - maybe some from the Championship or League One/Two with great potential.
Add: Whether players may not be joining because of the managerial/Board involvement situation
And that's just off the top!
