What a turnaround! Massive response to the Olly jibe about folding at Derby. Enjoy it lads...I don't know how big the rivalry is with Brentford, but I guess that feels like a win right now.

Incredible finish and shows the character this team has.
For everyone moaning about our deficiencies, this is the kind of fight back you’d have never seen from the shower that got us relegated from the Prem.
Hopefully this will kick start our season again now,

Just on the way home. What a weird game, delighted though in the end.
It was looking very typical QPR. Derby, on telly, team we have a bad record against. Brentford, who I believe have created more chances than anyone else in the league, clicking into gear at Loftus Road.
We didn't play half bad. Our defence looked a bit cobbled together, which it is, but Robinson was pretty immense again. Neither of Brentford's wide players, who kept swapping sides, liked the treatment Bidwell gave them but by the same token they were often far too tricky and quick for us to deal with a lot of the time.
Have to give Brentford the grudging respect for the fact that no matter how many times they have their good attacking talent nicked off them by other clubs, they always replace them really well and cheaply. Something we'll hopefully learn to do in our chastened circumstances.
We never stopped trying, though. We wasted some decent chances and there were positives and negatives. I don't know why Lua Lua came on as opposed to a youth player; he offered little. Wzsolek, who I really rate, looked rusty and devoid of confidence. On the other hand, our midfield three is still different class. We still crafted chances. We didn't give up though ironically, I feel like we got the two goals when we looked at our least up for it. After 80 mins I thought it was all done, if not before. We've played far better than this and lost.
Some referee gripes. I'm biased and I've not seen the replays on telly but we looked like we had at least one decent penalty shout. Feel the ref let Brentford take the piss with time wasting without sanction and that we got yellows (justifiably, for Freeman in particular) when Brentford didn't for fouls that were just as bad (such as Woods going in very dangerously for a header and clattering one of ours and getting involved in some afters). Freeman milked a yellow to stop Brentford breaking but a Brentford player essentially rugby tackled one of ours on the break and didn't get a yellow.
Just like most of the time we've played Brentford, Woods was head and shoulders the best player - always in the space, always niggling, always intelligent with the ball. Be shocked if he doesn't go for decent money somewhere soon. Reminds me of a nastier (I mean that as a compliment) combo of Scowen's grit and Faurlin's vision. Or something.
Can't help but laugh at the swathes of people who left around me in R block. A mate left early for only the second time in 23 years and missed both goals. Or the people who tar off our team from afar for an albeit limited but far from shameful performance tonight. We earned those points tonight and frankly this lot deserve far better patience and backing. We may be crap away from home but we are a tenacious, limited but hard working side at Loftus Road who try to play football and deserve a bit of faith.
All in all, I am absolutely bloody frozen but well worth it. You Rs!

Certainly feels like a win and it stops a poor run. One of those games where you almost don't care how you don't lose, long as you don't lose. How big the rivalry is depends on your perspective - interested to hear how others here see it. To me, it follows a weird relationship in West and South West London between all the clubs. Brentford hate QPR but we're not as bothered. We hate Chelsea but they aren't bothered. No one could care less either way about Fulham though notice their lot seem to hate us more than they used to. Obviously I'm generalising but that's how I see it. I don't think any of the clubs in the area hate each other equally.

I was at the game and Bows match summary is a right on the money. The funny thing was my mate Darren in the Upper Loft shook my hand and left as the extra time board went up for 4 minutes. His parting quip was 'it will probably be 2 f****** 2 now!!!

For what it's worth, this my take on last night. It won't be a patch on Bow's report though!
Firstly, we played far better than we did in either game against Brentford last season. I would also say that Brentford played better as well. I can't recall their passing being close to what they achieved yesterday.
I'm sure others would disagree, but IMO we played a 4-4-2 formation that sometimes stretched to 4-3-3. This was by no means rigid as Freeman tended to wander from his right side role. However, he was often needed in the centre as Brentford took advantage of their superior numbers in midfield to cut us apart with their passing ability. This is no slight on Scowen & Luongo as they held them off far more than we had a right to expect, but it exposed our limitations in playing that system.
At the back Baptiste & Robinson played well (especially in the first half) & Robinson made some great challenges. Behind them Smithies made two superb saves, with the one in the first half excellent.
We were limited in creating chances (nothing new there!), but Mackie really should have done better when Sylla found him in the penalty area. His shot should have been on target at least & I thought he should have scored. He was unlucky with his glancing header in the second half though.
For the first 20 minutes I thought the referee was on course to award the most free kicks in a match! He then had a spell of awarding nothing & this was topped with the non award of a penalty when the Brentford defender posed as a scarecrow to handle the ball. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the official.
The introduction of Wszolek gave us some width on the right & it was good to see him going past the opposition on the outside. However, Washington was our only player that tried to get into position for his cut backs.
Come added on time & Iain, Simon, Beth & myself were the only ones left in our row at the back of the Upper Loft. We gained the corner & I confidently predicted a goal. It seemed typical of Rangers to pull a goal back when it was to late to matter! Come the free kick & I said 2-2. This time it was stated with no expectation! At the full time whistle it felt like we had won & we were very worried about concedeing a third goal. That would have been a real sickener!
So, did we deserve a point? Not on the balance of play & Brentford were a far better footballing side than us. If we ignore that & look at the 100% effort of our players & a willingness to compete for every minute, then we did.
I don't think our defensive injury crises has any bearing on our results & performances as we have continually shipped goals no matter who is playing. I state this with the exception of feeling that we are better when Lynch is not in the team! Robinson & Baptiste are more than adequate for us.
Overall, we are not a great side, but we are far better than many posters (on all boards) give us credit for!

Another fantastic anecdote for this season which ticks all the basics I want from my support.
Heart, spirit, determination and never say die attitude. This team is a world away from those of the recent past.
In pure talent, we are not as good as other teams but in making the most of our limited resources we are superb!
