Why the hell was that not a penalty? Crap linesman on that side and the referee is showing some signs of being a Wloves fan. About 10 free kicks to them and 3 to us. Yet the hoops are not playing that badly. Better than i thought. Crap crowd thouth. Both ends seem empty. That friggen family stand move was the worst thing to do ever!

Feels like we've had significantly more possession but every time we get anywhere close to a shot on goal we just smash it straight into the chest or face of the nearest defender.

2 clear cut penalties not given to us. Either completely incompetant or a big brown envelope.

At some point the whole thing just becomes too pathetic for words.
I know we're down to 10 men, but even before that, despite all of our possession did we even get a shot on goal?

0-2 down - Edwards scores in 60th minutes with an assist from Dominic Iorfa. It totally threw me as the name was familiar. His dad has the same name and played for us.
Helder Costa then jinkedt through our defence like they weren't there.
Wolves had not scored for 4 hours before these gifts.

1-2 through Lynch and 7 minutes of added time.
This is the part where we convince ourselves something good is going to happen here.
We'll be 3-1 down in a jiffy.

Smithies was actually prefty damn good tonight, pulled off a few awesome saves. Thanks to our defence relying on him. Although Hall did do a few things right and nearly scored a beauty himself. Luongo and sandro look quite good in the middle. Washington looked out of this league trying to get the perfect shot in i steac of just shooting on impulse, where as Poulter has the ability to make time and space for himself but did shoot too impulsively. Not Ollies fault, he tried and did the right thing by changing the formation. If Ned was any good, that would have helped.

Just on the way back so a few thoughts. Really frustrating evening and a crap atmosphere (though plenty in R block tried their best). Only cynical positive is that both Sky and the club got punished for playing the match at a bloody stupid time/day and charging away fans over 30 quid for the privilege by being served up dirge by both teams for most of the game. Absolute joke with no consideration for match going fans.
Smithies was superb. I think we looked shapeless after going down to 10 men and didn't really threaten properly until the madness of injury time. The first non-penalty for us looked nailed on hand ball from where I was but haven't seen a replay. I don't like Henry much but him getting booed for simply being selected for coming on was absolutely cringe.
I'm not sure how many stupid, needless sendings off Perch has racked up now (Derby away comes to mind), but this was another familiar tale of him going in recklessly in a really not dangerous area of the pitch. It baffles me how a player of his considerable experience, an ex player of the year at Wigan, can be that impulsive. Whilst there were many factors in the defeat, that was the turning point and it was utterly avoidable.
I'm a bit worried by Chery seemingly being given such a talismanic role in the team but, whilst there were flashes, he just doesn't seem to have the consistency to justify such a tactical reliance on him. Don't really know the solution to that.
Not panicking as per, log way to go with this group of players and Holloway yet. But yeah, I'm knackered, cold and tired. Crap evening.

And now we're off until a week from saturday when we will face a team with just one win all season and adrift at the bottom of the league. There's only one remedy when you're struggling like that...a visit from the R's.

I'd be interested to know how many people were actually there.
I am one of 3 season ticket holders that didn't go but I suspect we would have been counted as if being there. I guess we weren't the only ones.
As a season ticket holder for 25+ years I've had enough of a TV controlled fixture list that treats fans with utter contempt.

Yeah, you definitely weren't. I was one of three ST holders who couldn't make it in our group and there were empty seats from regulars around me too. I'm fortunate (depending on how you look at it!) to be able to get off work in time and not have any family commitments. But if you've got more responsibilities and budget your time around predominantly Saturday afternoons and Tuesday evenings, particularly if you're travelling a bit, a Thursday night simply isn't workable. Chuck in the fact that it's cold and on TV and a fair few people who could scrape it won't bother. Probably another thread/topic but I guess the big disappointment is that whilst attendances are a big factor for us and moreso for smaller clubs, compared to the TV cash, sponsorship and so on the gate money isn't as important at it used to be. Fan campaigning and walkouts etc. continue to play a part (say at Liverpool where fans fought off price hikes to some extent) but the collective power of fans holds a lot less economic clout than it used to. To me it feels a bit like TV's (and by extension the FA's) relationship with Championship fixtures is a bit like when you over-order on a takeaway and you've still got leftovers in the fridge. You might not fancy eating more the next night but it'll go off if you don't use it so you may as well, even though you and the people in your house don't really want it. I genuinely cannot think the average football fan gives half a crap about QPR v Wolves on a Thursday night, but they've got the TV rights and can fiddle the fixture list to accommodate it at the expense of people who go to the match. You put this game on a Saturday at 3pm and Wolves will bring minimum 2-3k fans. Instead, fans from the Midlands will likely have to take a few hours off work/half day, pay through the nose for a train ticket, £30+ on the door, drinks and food (at London prices, bear in mind - wages are lower there than here) and you're looking at about £100 odd quid. No wonder they barely filled the top tier. And then getting home late and working the next day. Sky/BT/FA could not give less of shiteee about that.

I was there & so did not have the advantage of seeing ant replays.
But, two nailed on pemalties? If the handball had been given against us there would have been outrage on the boards. We all screamed for it, but none of us expected that it would or should be given!
Please tell me what the second one was? I honestly have no idea.

Odd that you say this because I am wondering where all the complaints are too. Even the match commentators on BeIN were stating that you could not get 2 more clear cut penalties. a hand ball to push the ball over the goal line for a corner and the arm around our Sylas neck that pulled him down in the penalty area.
