Gazette & Herald Digby tips Holloway for Town hot-seat By Jon Boyle » Swindon Town legend Fraser Digby believes Ian Holloway would be the perfect man to lift the Robins' fortunes after manager Maurice Malpas' departure today. Malpas left the County Ground this morning by mutual consent after winning just 13 of his 42 games in charge. And Digby feels ex-QPR and Leicester boss Holloway - who is the red hot favourite for the job after being spotted at the County Ground last month - would be the ideal replacement. Former Town goalkeeper Digby said: "I feel sorry for Maurice because he was a nice fella' but the trouble is that Swindon have been brilliant one minute, then awful the next. "The last two results were probably the final nail in his coffin and the board had to be seen to be doing something. "I don't know who they will appoint but the one person who would get the club by the scruff of the neck is Ian Holloway. "I worked under Ollie at QPR and he's a passionate bloke and will always get the best out of people. "He's a football man through and through and he's very committed. "But the board have got to make a decision. "The fans are on a bit of a low at the moment and he's the sort of man who would get everyone together." Town will be holding a press conference at the County Ground at 12.30pm today. The Gazette will be attending and will give you the breaking news as it unfolds today on this website. www.gazetteandherald.co.uk/sport/swindontown/news/3847931.Digby_tips_Holloway_for_Town_hot_seat/
