Some further news on this story... Sandro attended his medical on crutches this morning, limping noticeably. As Antalyaspor's team doctor welcomed him at the airport, one of his crutches was knocked away by a small passing dog, sending him crashing to the floor. He overextended his left knee, suffering cruciate ligament damage in the process. In his anger, Sandro kicked out at the dog, badly spraining his right ankle and fracturing a metatarsal in the same foot in the process. To make matters worse, he suffered a compound fracture of the left ulna and dislocated a shoulder on landing awkwardly, also suffering concussion upon striking his head on the edge of the luggage carousel. A group of Antalyaspor fans had meanwhile lit flares to welcome Sandro to Turkey. In the excitement, one of the flares was accidentally dropped and rolled towards Sandro (who was now writhing on the floor), causing him third degree burns. An ambulance rushed Sandro to the casualty department, but was unfortunately involved in a road traffic accident along the way, and he suffered additional whiplash injuries to his neck. The President of Antalyaspor FC later visited Sandro at his hospital bedside, smiling broadly, saying, "This is the fittest Sandro has been for the last 2 years and we are delighted to sign him on a five year contract".

From westlondonsport. Going, going......... www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/sandro-completes-medical-ahead-planned-moveSandro completes medical ahead of planned moveBy David McIntyre 09/01/2017 Sandro has completed a medical at Antalyaspor ahead of a proposed move to the Turkish club. The QPR midfielder received an offer from Osmanlispor before Antalyaspor also made an approach. He is expected to sign a three-and-a-half-year contract. Rangers have not asked for fee for the Brazilian midfielder and are desperate for him to find a club rather than continue paying his huge wages for the remaining months of his contract, which expires in the summer Sandro has had fitness issues since his £6m move from Tottenham in 2014 and has started only 29 league matches for the R’s. Several previous efforts to find him a new club failed, but there has been interest in him in recent weeks and as a result there is much more of an expectation than during previous windows that he will move on. Rangers held talks with intermediaries from the Chinese Super League about Sandro in October. So far there though has been no sign of firm interest from Chinese clubs – instead it is Tjaronn Chery who has attracted a lucrative offer from the Far East. Do we have a dancing emoji on here? Someone on twitter worked out each appearance came out at £350,000.00 Not one of Harrys better deals. Or put it like this, 12 of Sandro's appearances cost us what we got paid for Charlie Austin.

Say it isn't so! Ash you jinxed it! From Sport Witness sportwitness.co.uk/club-officials-concerns-qpr-transfer-deal-despite-agreement/Club officials have concerns over QPR transfer deal despite agreementBy Sport Witness - 9th January 2017 Queen Park Rangers midfielder Sandro is currently in Antalya as the Brazilian midfielder edges closer to a move to Antalyaspor. The 30-year old midfielder is at the Turkish side’s training camp with his agent to discuss his move to Turkey and both sides have reached an agreement claim TSpor. However, Antalyaspor are moving carefully as the club’s physios are examining reports of the player’s injury record. A series of injuries have hampered Sandro’s career both at Tottenham and QPR, limiting him to just over 200 club games during his career.
Antalyaspor want to avoid the same thing happening to them and therefore want detailed medical reports.Ian Holloway’s side are currently underachieving as they lie 17th place in the Championship table. Sandro has only played 6 times for QPR this season and the West London side want him off the wage bill due to his high salary. The midfielder joined QPR from Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of €7.5million, but it’s reported Antalyaspor will sign the player on a free if he passes his medical.

From NSNO www.nsno.co.uk/everton-news/2017/01/kone-wanted-qpr/Kone wanted by QPREverton striker Arouna Kone could be the subject of a bid from Championship side QPR this January after they showed a distinct lack of firepower at the weekend. NSNO favourite Ian Holloway is manager of the Loftus Road side, and has made some pretty cutting comments about his side’s 2-1 defeat, leading journalists in West London to believe that he is in the market for a 33 year old Ivorian. Kone made a rare appearance for the Blues on Saturday in the 2-1 defeat to Leicester City but as he spent much of his time on the left wing failed to make the impression that was required. Signed for £5m from Wigan in Roberto Martinez‘s first summer, Kone has never really set the world alight at Goodison Park, although he sat much of his first season out through injury. A return to action last season saw a few goals and also a fruitful partnership with Romelu Lukaku, but Kone is not thought to be among Ronald Koeman‘s plans after the Dutchman opted to play Dominic Calvert-Lewin ahead of him. The following two tabs change content below.

According to "Sky Sources" overnight Chery is on a plane to China for his medical - fee agreed £4 million Deal to sell Poulter agreed at £3 million Sandro has passed his medical. Not bad transfer business if those fees are right imo, and should free up the cash for transfers fees and wages for Ollie to spend a little. All assuming "Sky Sources" are correct as we all know they are always 100% correct......... Cracking bit of business if correct.

Yes good bit of business on these two Poulter and Chery. At least if they go, you make something on them .
Cant see the same happening when Gladwin goes mind, you cant win them all.
In recent years we have lost on practically every player so a breath of fresh air to make on two and get rid of Sandro.
Wish them both well, seemed to be decent enough guys and ones I wouldnt have minded having around the Club bit longer. Poulter always tried and Chery's talent on the day was right up there. Goodluck.

For sure - I'm sad to see Polter and Chery go but if they're going for more than we paid for them it's hard to complain as we said we'd either be developing longer term or selling on for a profit. I know he wasn't prolific but I'm most gutted about Polter. Gangly, unpredictable, hard worker, clearly a bit odd - pure QPR. Sandro passing his miracle. What a time to be alive.

Deal to sell Poulter agreed at £3 million£3 million!!!! Excellent stuff. Mind you, that's cheap for Berlin... since the devaluation after the Brexit vote, it's about 37p to them... Sandro has passed his medical. The best 'pass' he's completed in his whole QPR career...

Sorry but not sad about Gladwin loan. Had another chance Saturday, another fail. Even Ollie can see theres nothing much there, no end product, League One level.
Probably sell him back to Swindon in the summer at half what we paid but fully understand you have to take a chance on some of these and they wont all pay off. So we move on.

Slightly concerned about what this means for Shodipo. Probably over-thinking it but Ollie has already talked him down this season and he didn't even start the Blackburn game at the expense of Bidwell playing out of position. Appreciate how we need to blood him in relatively carefully but Ollie's used him very sparingly so far and now we'll have a temporary loan ahead of a home-grown asset.

From WLS It is claimed that QPR are interested in Hibernian striker Jason Cummings.
A host of players north of the border have been linked with QPR by the Scottish media.
And the Daily Record now suggest that both the R’s and Barnsley are monitoring the 21-year-old Cummings.
