From sambafoot.com www.sambafoot.com/en/news/78943__.html?Cruzeiro linked with ex Tottenham midfielderBy Tim Stillman 2016-01-10 21:19:00 Globo Esporte is reporting that Belo Horizonte based club Cruzeiro are interested in bringing Queens Park Rangers defensive midfielder Sandro back to Brazil ahead of the 2016 season. Sandro, born in Minas, the state where Cruzeiro play, represented Tottenham Hotspur from 2010-2014. Sandro was an integral part of Internacionalâs 2010 Copa Libertadores winning side, before joining Spurs in August 2010. He left BrasileirĂŁo 5 years ago, but reports in Brazil suggest that the 2013 and 2014 league champions Cruzeiro will make QPR an offer to bring him home. A Raposa have been trying to seal a deal for Colombian volante Gustavo Cuellar, but have run into difficulty closing the deal, which has apparently forced them to switch their attention to Sandro, who has been capped 17 times by the Brazilian national side. Cruzeiro have yet to publicly confirm their interest, but Globo is reporting that a club insider informed them of the clubâs interest. At the age of 26, he could bring much needed experience and steel to Cruzeiroâs young team.

From the Offie. Caulker can't even make the FA Cup squad! Maybe we Cup tied him just in case we won a Cup game! LOAN RANGERS: DARNELL FURLONG MAKES CAMBRIDGE DEBUT
PUBLISHED 10:16 11th January 2016 by @qprfc Defender features in 1-0 defeat against Crawley Town ⊠QPR youngster makes loan debut for Cambridge United Defender played 90 minutes for the Uâs in 1-0 defeat at Crawley Town Steven Caulker and Cole Kpekawa not in action this weekend DARNELL Furlong made his debut for Cambridge United in a 1-0 defeat against Crawley Town on Saturday. Furlong, 20, moved to the League Two side on a one month loan deal last week. And the Râs full-back played the full 90 minutes at the Broadfield Stadium for former QPR favourite Shaun Derryâs side. However, it was not a happy start for the youngster as Matt Harroldâs 36th minute goal handed the hosts all three-points. Steven Caulker was not in the matchday squad for Southamptonâs 2-1 FA Cup defeat against Crystal Palace. Cole Kpekawa had a weekend off for Leyton Orient with the Oâs not in action following their exit from the FA Cup. From getwestlondon www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/qpr-crystal-palace-striker-dwight-10716479?QPR have Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle in their sights14:38, 11 JAN 2016 UPDATED 14:38, 11 JAN 2016 BY PAUL WARBURTON A loan deal beckons for talented Palace forward who could bolster Rs stuttering attack - especially if Charlie Austin leaves QPR are interested in a loan move for Dwight Gayle to beef up a misfiring attack. The Crystal Palace forward has been starved off chances in the Premier League this term, and would compliment the likes of Sebastian Polter or Jay Emmanuel-Thomas as part of a Rangers double spearhead. Palace boss Alan Pardew insists heâs not interested in Rs star Charlie Austin - but the man with 10 goals in 16 starts could still broker an ÂŁ8m move elsewhere during this monthâs transfer window. It would leave Rangers even lighter up top, with only 24 goals from the rest of the side all told in 27 games. Despite the Austin no-go to south London, new Rs technical director Chris Ramsey has maintained good links with Palace - especially as he was eying up a coaching move there last season before taking the reins at Rangers as head coach. Gayle has featured in only eight Prem League games for Palace - the last of them as a late sub in the 1-1 draw with Everton on December 7.

From Ibrox Noise. Will Luongo be off while Fer and Sandro stay? Not happy if that happens. Not happy at all www.ibroxnoise.co.uk/2016/01/rangers-linked-with-australian.html?Rangers linked with Australian internationalRangers have tonight been linked with QPRâs Australian international Massimo Luongo. The central midfielder is currently out of favour at Jimmy Floyd Hasselbainkâs London side, and Rangers have competition in the form of MK Dons and Middlesbrough for the 23 year oldâs signature. It is a surprise link given the depth Mark Warburton undeniably has at his disposal in the middle, but few managers would turn their noses up when an experienced international becomes available. Luongoâs club career is currently in something of a limbo, with his Dutch boss not preferring him, but his international career Down Under is thriving with 16 caps for his country and a player of the tournament award at the recent Asiaâs Cup in which the Socceroos came out as the champions. This is yet another developing story and we will see how much truth is in it in the coming days and weeks if further news breaks on it.

Crazy if we let Luongo go, even on loan, specially to a team that we might be fighting relegation with. Shows no lessons are learnt and we are still run by clowns. Yeah keep lazy Fer, and the crap of Gobern, Perch, Tozser etc ![(puke)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sick.png)

From Dave McIntyre on WLS - Well done Sir Les and JFH QPR have rejected an approach from MK Dons to take Massimo Luongo on loan. The midfielder, signed from Swindon with Ben Gladwin in the summer, has not started a league match since October. Luongo, 23, was given a starting place for Saturdayâs FA Cup defeat at Nottingham Forest, which along with a brief substitute appearance against Hull on New Yearâs Day is his only involvement in the first team since Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink took over as Rangers manager. MK Dons boss Karl Robinson was therefore keen to snap him up, while reports in Luongoâs native Australia claim Middlesbrough and Glasgow Rangers are also interested. However, Rangers want the player to stay at Loftus Road and fight for his place. Meanwhile, Liverpool are interested in a potential deal to sign Steven Caulker on loan from QPR for the rest of the season.

From London24 QPR have to drop key man as League One replacement tipped 11:41 12 January 2016 Brad Pinard QPR have to drop Rob Green to avoid his contract clause coming into play, according to former boss Ian Holloway. Green will trigger a new one-year deal should he play five more games for the Râs and the club are not willing to make that happen. The 35-year-old is set to leave this month and Holloway admits he would do the same thing if he were Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. âIâve read that Rob Green is just five games away from triggering a new one-year contract,â Holloway told SkySports. âThatâs a common thing in football for older players, but the easiest way to deal with it is to drop him. âLetâs be honest, at 35-years-old heâs not going to improve. If he doesnât get his contract, then QPR will spend that money on someone else - thatâs football for you.â Holloway believes the Râs could go after Burton stopper Jon McLaughlan to replace Green. âJimmy might want to go back and get his former goalkeeper at Burton [Jon McLaughlan] - he keeps plenty of clean sheets,â he added. From hereisthecity www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/01/12/report-wolves-and-qpr-both-interested-in-move-for-striker-nahki/?Report: Wolves and QPR both considering move for striker Nahki WellsJordan Harris @jordanharris811 2 hours ago The 25-year-old has been excellent for Huddersfield Town this season. Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner has insisted that his star striker Nahki Wells will not be leaving the John Smith's Stadium during the January transfer window, despite speculation linking him with three of their Championship rivals, the Huddersfield Examiner reports. Wolves, Fulham and Queens Park Rangers have been linked with a move for the 25-year-old (via Examiner), but Wagner has insisted that none of the players that he wishes to keep hold of will be heading for the exit this month. "No players will leave us in this window if I am not happy with the situation, so we feel protected," he said, as reported by the Examiner. Despite Wagner's firm stance, all of the sides reportedly chasing Wells' signature are arguably in need of bolstering their attacking ranks, so may well attempt to tempt the Terriers into selling their key man before the window shuts. Wolves will certainly be considering their options after Benik Afobe left Molineux to join Premier League side Bournemouth. And while Rangers and Fulham currently have plenty of depth at their disposal, speculation has surrounded their own forwards. Hoops striker Charlie Austin is out of contract at the end of the season, and has had several top flight sides monitoring his progress (via London Evening Standard). Meanwhile, Fulham are seemingly in danger of losing two of their first-choice forwards, with Ross McCormack (via Daily Mail) and Moussa Dembele (via London Evening Standard) both being linked with moves away from Craven Cottage recently. Wells has been in great form for Huddersfield this season. His eight goals have kept the club away from the relegation zone, and Wagner will know that their chances of remaining in the division may well depend on whether he can keep the Bermudian beyond this month.

From Australia's SBS's theworldgame theworldgame.sbs.com.au/article/2016/01/11/mk-dons-glasgow-rangers-lead-hunt-out-favour-luongoMK Dons and Rangers lead hunt for out-of-favour Luongo12 JAN 2016 - 8:29AM Interest is swirling around Australia midfielder Massimo Luongo, with Milton Keynes Dons, Rangers and Middlesbrough all in the mix to snatch him away from Loftus Road should new coach Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink decide he doesnât fit the mould. By David Lewis 12 JAN 2016 - 8:29 AM UPDATED YESTERDAY 8:29 AM Hasselbaink, who handed out-of-favour Luongo his first start in over two months in the weekendâs 1-0 FA Cup third round loss at Nottingham Forest, has rejected all three approaches. However, itâs understood that Luongo could still move during the remainder of January transfer window if he remains on the periphery at the struggling Championship club. Though he only signed for the Râs last May, Luongo, 23, has dropped down the pecking order after a bright start to his career in the Championship in the wake of his arrival from League One Swindon. Contracted at QPR until mid-2018, he played out 90 minutes as Hasselbaink's men lost at the City Ground - a result which leaves the former Chelsea legend still searching for his first win since taking the reins from caretaker coach Neil Warnock seven games ago. Itâs believed that MK Dons made a formal offer for Luongo, along with Rangers, after an initial bid to land him on loan was rejected.League leaders Middlesbrough were looking at a loan option while Leeds United coach Steve Evans has also been monitoring the situation. Coached by Karl Robinson, who has publicly stated that he is a long-time Luongo admirer, MK Dons are third from bottom of the Championship and locked in a fight for survival, whilst QPR, who were expected to be chasing a quick return to the top flight, are marooned in 16th spot. Mk Dons are renowned for their free-flowing style, which would suit the languid Luongo, should he depart London. QPR travel to Blackburn in the Championship on Wednesday (AEDT), and if Luongo misses out, it is only likely to further fuel speculation that a move could be imminent. Having made 14 league appearances under Chris Ramsey before he was sacked in November, Luongo looked set to become a mainstay for the Hoops after reuniting with Ramsey and director of football Les Ferdinand, both of whom were mentors during his nearly three years with Tottenham Hotspur's youth academy. But, with relegated QPR unable to find any consistency this season, itâs the 2015 AFC Asian Cupâs player of the tournament who has been sacrificed, even though results have continued to go south while he's been parked on the bench. Luongo's future will be determined during the coming weeks, with an exit still a big possibility for one of Australian football top talents, who found himself courted by the likes of Aston Villa before opting for QPR after 76 appearances and 10 goals for Swindon in two-and-a-bit seasons in the West Country.
