Chris Ramsey comes across as a nice guy so hard to slate him , but is he the man to take us back to the premier league , NO And to give him a contract to 2018 , that is madness , so i cant see us returning to the premier league to quickly .....

Oh Dear - a Dream Manager eh? Still depending on who we remove from the squad and who we keep will show whether or not this was an inspired move.

Well it's done now so get behind him.....
Let's see what he can do with his own squad. It'll do us no good as a club if we go into next season already slagging off the manager who hasn't even had a proper go yet.
Oh and the viewpoint that this appointment means definite relegation to League One is absolutely hilarious

Everyone wanted Tony to appoint a NON big-name manager after the last few disasters. Everyone wanted Tony to appoint someone who would give youth a chance.
Everyone needs to stop being so fickle and get behind CR now.

We will attract no decent championship players, as they and their agents will not touch us with a barge pole. We will be forced to play many of our U21 players and hope for the best.

Why a 3 year contract? Are we afraid of him being poached away? Why a fixed-term contract? Why not a couple of month's notice either way?

I dont really think that he has had a fair chance yet. Would rather of given him the first 10 games in the championship than 3 years though. If we get off to a bad start, the knives will be out.

Tony's dream, my nightmare. No season ticket for me next year! I really hope I'm proved wrong here, but to give him a 3 year contract for his first job is so naive, is Fernandes ever going to learn?

It would have been easier to swallow if he had done a half decent job...he hasn't!
We don't have anything like enough young talent in our current set up to keep us in the 1st Division let alone the Championship....and make no bones about it that is a F...ng tough place for kids!
Why 3 years FFS!!
Terrible news....!!

And why exactly will they not touch us with a barge pole? Young players will see that Ramsey gives youth a chance and did in a higher division too so there will be an attraction there. Not only that but Ramsey is still considered one of the best coaches in the country, people want to work with him and for him. If that's your genuine prediction of what is to come then I feel sorry for you

Good, we need people who are going to support the team next season anyway. Who remembers the last thing that caused fans to say they weren't going to renew? Because I do......... It was when Warnock signed Hill and Derry. .......

Three year appointment is an absolute Joke. Les got his wish and Tony is suckered into everything he says just like Harry. Didn't even see what Managers were available over the next few weeks. Dont get me wrong, you wont ever get me booing him or any players at games but this three year deal is criminal. Supporting for nearly 40 yrs, now find myself sadly losing the love of my QPR lately.

Rory talks sense. We can't predict what will happen under CR any more than we could if we got yet ANOTHER "big name" manager. Look at Hughes, Look at Redknapp. Neither got us anywhere except back where we started and a good few £million lighter. Give CR a chance he has as good a chance as anyone and no doubt costs a bit less(!)

Why is everyone upset about 3 year deal? Are these the same people calling for stability, starting from ground up, BUILDING something....

Its the 3 year contract that seems weird. Whilst on one hand it could be said that this potentially leads to stability, what if results do not turn out as expected and we are sitting at Christmas in a similar position to this Christmas? Is it another pay off time?
A 12 month rolling contract to my mind would have given enough protection for Chris and enough for The Club.
But it;s the bubble of the world that football lives in that bears absolutely no relationship to the world we live in. I'm retired now but I think the best contract I ever had was 3 months.
Be interested to know what sort of £ he is on.

No doubt Chris is a Nice Guy but he's tactically naive and learning the game as he goes along.
Must be rubbing his hands at the Good reward for failure and relegation.

Everyone has to start somewhere, I know it's not quite the same but look at Monk at Swansea. No experience at all, signed on a 3 year contract. A gamble but it's working out just fine!

Give CR a chance he has as good a chance as anyone and no doubt costs a bit less(!) No we cant predict jj as he has never even Managed in the Championship, never even won a title or got a team to play offs etc. That is why we really shouldnt be offering a three year contract to a Manager cutting his teeth in management. He may well do extremely well and we may be in the bottom half come Christmas but three years is stupid for an untried man, a nice a guy as Chris is. Would add, its ok Rory saying good dont come/ dont get a ticket but there will be lots of fans unhappy with this three year deal. So if you say, ok dont come we want supporters who will support the team. You might end up with a half empty ground made up with more tourists if your not careful. That wouldnt be a good scenario in my mind. If someone decides to not renew his season ticket, I fully respect that. Its his opinion and choice to. Anyhow good luck Chris Ramsey

The point is he was totally unknown as a manager, untried, untested and he's doing better than a "big name" could with the decent squad of players.

I'd wager Ramseys 3 year contract won't cost as much as 1 year for "I interviewed the club" Hughes or the 'triffic Redknapp.
