Good luck Chris , keep us up congrats . Tony needs to stop getting over excited and saying he had nearly got a dream man when he hadnt, makes himself look silly at times, that and regular tweet deleting from a Chairman .
Happy Chris has these 13 games though ... Onwards ...

Brilliant news, think this is a big step forward from the owners. Shows they've gained a bit of sense and are treating this seriously. The TF and co from a few years ago would have just appointed the first manager who came along and I think Tim Sherwood would have had the job by now.
I have a really good feeling about whatever decision they make in the summer regarding a long term appointment.

I cant think of a coach recently taking over for so few games unless you go back to Wolves when 24/2 Terry Connor took over Wolves after McCarthy had been sacked. That one ended badly, he actually had 13 games in charge. Drew 4 lost 9 ,that didnt work out well.
Think Ramsey has a real chance of keeping us up, feel twice as confident than if we kept with HR

Not sure about that 57. This sentence can be read either way: “We spoke to many individuals who were interested in the role, one of whom I was quoted on as being a dream, but none of them were right to take the club forward at this time for a variety of reasons, whereas we firmly believe Chris is." www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/qpr-queens-park-rangers-chris-ramsey-tony-fernandes-les-ferdinand-2266517.aspxEither the dream manager became less attractive or it is on hold until the summer, but as we all know, it is pointless trying to analysis his words too intently.

And of course a QPR in the Championship with possible FFP limitations and big debts etc, etc, might make a less attractive candidates for someone we might really want.

I don't think there are many or any that I've seen that are critical of appointing Ramsey for the rest of the season - and quite a few (including myself!) were advocating this as a very viable option, before the win

Sherwood and Hoddle both interviewed for Villa job .Sherwood front runner / Hoddle could end up as his assistant ,what is it about Sherwood that everytime there is a manager vacancy his name pops up everytime ?

Which if everyone was colour blind we'd expect a fair spread of Prem & Football League managers who are black. Instead Chris Ramsey becomes the only current Prem manager & only the fifth in England. Ethnic minority candidates on both the pro-licence and the league managers qualification courses was 25% in 2010 and 25% of professional players are black yet managers make up about 6%. Clearly either you believe black people are not up to it or that the system is rigged against them. So you don't need to share my pride but atleast acknowledge the disparity I find that racially offensive. I don't feel that way at all. I just live in a multicutural country where we are encouraged to judge people by what the can do than by their colour. Lone, firstly not sure how you can find that comment "racially" offensive...the comment reflects the paradox at the centre of your original comment....if we always just want the best candidate then it is surprising that that candidate is predominantly white when so much of the game is black.

Happy Chris has these 13 games though ... Onwards ... Sorry Harr but have to disagree with you on some of this one. Appointing Ramsey until the end of season is a good move in my opinion but I believe TF still has his dream manager in mind - but that he will not be able to join until the summer. All the quotes I am seeing state Ramsey is the best choice now "until the end of the season". Also that the others including the "dream candidate " are not right for various reasons "at this time"
As for TF getting over excited - I prefer that to a chairman that sits back and shows no interest in what's going on.
If we get relegated maybe/probably the dream manger will not join - then what do we say? "Ramsey could not keep us up so get a new manager" , or "Ramsey is ok for the Championship so keep him" And if we stay up is it a case of "we have to keep Ramsey because he kept us up" or should it be "appoint the dream manager to move us forward".
Then if we appoint the dream manager there is still no need for Ramsey to get bent out of shape or to go back to the academy - he could, for example, be an excellent No. 2 as first team trainer or assistant manager. First Team trainers are often not good Club Managers and vice versa. Then again maybe Ramsey is so good and committed to youth development that he would want to return to what he loves doing.
Time will tell but I think we are heading in the right direction especially now that Sir Les has taken over the footballing side of the CEO job.
At least we, and more importantly the players and staff, know where we stand for the rest of the season and can get on with the job.
The only down side for me this week apart from Fer's injury was the interview (if correctly quoted) from Clint Hill having a side swipe at Harry over Taarabt. As club captain and someone who Harry did a lot for, to keep him playing, gave him a new contract and lined him up for a coaching job he should have kept quiet especially as Hill himself had been one of the main voices against the mis-fits and players who did not want to be at QPR - including Taarabt.
Thats fine 57 its all about personal Opinion. That was just the way I personally interpreted Tony's Dream Manager sentence. I can see you can look at in a different way. Dont get me wrong, I genuinely like the guy. He didnt really need to come out with that dream manager statement at all, we could have just waited, wouldnt have been a problem and wouldnt cause him looking kind of silly now. Regarding the tweeting and then deleting this is just a personal gripe I dont like and think it makes him look like a schoolboy at times not a Chairman. Do it once maybe but seriously, once a month is a bit overboard.

Agree Harr, I genuinely like TF and I am very pleased with the interim appointment of Chris Ramsey but sometimes Tony Fernandes is better off keeping quiet until a final decision is reached on an issue.
His appeal is largely in his enthusiasm but occasionally it would do him well to curb his enthusiasm.

I remember when Gerry Francis was appointed first time round how unfair it seemed on Don Howe (we had finished a comfortable 11th in 89/90 & 12th in 90/91) but Francis proved to be the best manager we've had since Sexton. It took a lot of courage to sack a manager who had done nothing wrong and replace him with someone who had been at Bristol Rovers in the 3rd Division. Of course by 92/93 we'd finished 5th and top London club and no one doubted it had been the right choice. I think that even if Ramsey keeps us up if Fernandes genuinely thinks Clement is the right guy then he should pull the trigger.

Proud that the club has appointed a black man as manager (all be it temporary) & another as director of football in a league where senior black management is as rare as hen's teeth On this one, we will disagree. I don't care what colour Ramsey is or whoever it is. I am only interested in their ability to do the job and hopefully get results, skin colour should have no part of it. And for the avoidance of doubt I wasn't suggesting you were in any way racist in your comments

I live in the hope that Ramsey can keep the players motivated and we stay up. Of course there will be a honeymoon period, however if we stay up, stay with him and see if he can progress the club in the right direction. Should he keep the job, it will be interesting to see who he sees as being worthy of a squad number next season from the current crop and whom he would like to sign.
I believe he likes to give youth a chance and this could be a real bonus. Not for us to sell them on but for us to establish a hardcore group of young players with a 7 year span in play.
With beard going, this will hopefully be the end of stupid contracts. Sir Les's influence in this does have me curious. Perhaps he is going to affect this club in a role none of us thought but in a positive way too. Most thought he'd be coaching or as a manager. But what he is doing thus far smells more like a CEO roll to me. And if that is how it is and is for the betterment, then so be it too.
There really is a potential for it to all turn around and for the better. My fingers are crossed and my hopes raised...just like yours Eusebeo, just from a different perspective. We live in hope. Toether again, QPR and it's fans.

His agent! If he keeps trying someone will eventually ignore the fact he only has 5 months managerial experience, believe that he is as good as he says he is and will give him an overpaid job. Liked him as a player but he seems to have an ego/ attitude problem from a distance. Purely my personal opinion and no doubt others who wanted him at the Bush will have a different view
Got the Villa job

I think Fernandes has not high expectations with Ramsey so he can't lose by backing him. Neither can the club in general. This isn't gonna cost the club an arm and a leg either. I hope it works out to be honest. We need stability and we need a low key approach, not some attention seeker. Clement should he ever leave Madrid would be next in line but I feel he might get the chance to actually become the main man there. He has established an under the radar impressive CV and Madrid know that too.

QPR: Chris Ramsey could stay as manager - Tony Fernandes
QPR owner Tony Fernandes has revealed that Chris Ramsey will be given the chance to remain as manager of the club for "a very long time". Ramsey, 52, was appointed boss until the end of the season on Friday.
But Fernandes has now said Ramsey may remain in charge for longer. "Chris has an opportunity to be at the club for a very long time," tweeted Fernandes. "There are no guarantees but he has every chance to build a huge managerial future. We are lucky."
Ramsey had initially been in temporary charge at Loftus Road with director of football Les Ferdinand after Harry Redknapp quit to have knee surgery. Earlier in the week, former QPR striker Kevin Gallen told the BBC that Fernandes had been made to look foolish after publicly claiming he had found a "dream manager" to replace Harry Redknapp.
"It is obvious that manager wasn't Chris Ramsey," Gallen told Radio 5live.
But Fernandes has now clarified his position, tweeting: "We found a great guy to manage us from next season, a dream manager. But actually we had a dream candidate right in front of us in Chris Ramsey."
Brought to QPR in October 2014, Ramsey will work alongside first-team coach Kevin Bond and goalkeeping coach Kevin Hitchcock, with Ferdinand 'overseeing the trio' and helping with training.

Fantastic News...I'm so happy that Chris Ramsey has been appointed manager until the end of the season...so many positive things surround it...young manager, focus will be on youth development, different vision...everything is looking good.
We all so how there was a spark with the players...sure it may just be the usual new manager syndrome bump, but it may also be the tactics employed...
Fer who I think has had a decent season, looked like an even bigger threat, tearing apart the front line, dropping back and covering in the midfield...Barton had to me his best game of the season...no hollywood passes, small compact game in the middle of the park, not over-committing to every tackle...Rio who i'll admit, I have been real disappointed in the way he has played so far this season...looks like he wants to try and redeem his name for the rest of the season..Phillips on the wing, was the player we all thought he would be when we signed him, putting in some terrific balls and attacking the defender each time...
This is what I want to see from us. Energy, passion, HEART..
I think a lot of it may be due to Ramsey, the players look like they want to play for him, even in the heart breaker against Swansea, there was a noticeable difference in the play.
Chris Ramsey has my full support, and I think that we are in good hands going forward.
