I havent checked the numbers: But our Defense in 1967/68 Promotion Season, I think was one of the best (if not the best) in terms of goals conceded...
Ditto in 72/73 promotion - which was largely dues to Parkes brilliance - rather than brilliant defense...And Venables made our tight at the back also

In 66-67 we played 46 league games. 42 in the other two seasons.

Most goals in a season...
In that 1966/67 Season, we scored more than 100 League Goals. (The last time we managed that)

It has to be pointed out that a hell of a lot of credit needs to go to the defence for these clean sheets, especially Dunne. The last couple of games, Green hasn't had much more to do than scratch his arse on the goalpost!
