The match, played on December 16 (hence how dark the skies look), featured a long cast of footballing heroes such as: QPR: Stan Bowles, Phil Parkes and Billy Hamilton (who would go on to manage Northern Ireland). Manchester City: Peter Barnes, Paul Power, Mike Channon and Asa Hartford. On top of all of that, you have the lovely commentary of Brian Moore, as well as a few beautiful goals. Who could ask for anything more?" www.epltalk.com/qpr-vs-manchester-city-1978-79-friday-flashback-videos-32417

not replacing mclintock or webby was as important, buying and then selling dave needham? Proves the importance of backing your manager with some transfer money is vital, lets hope history does not repeat itself

You can debate who was Rangers best ever player, who was better Stan or Rodders, but when it comes to goalies Parkes is the best I've seen in 45 years supporting the r's by a country mile
