Came across this on my surfing travels today and actually quite an informative web site however when I started going through the QPR players I found it to be very accurate...when I got to SWP I just PMSL at the bit that said under SWP's character .... "Player has NO significant strengths" Hahaha..... Now look at the listed Weaknesses. I haven't looked at Barton yet but I bet thats accurate too? www.whoscored.com/Players/2703/Show/Shaun-Wright-Phillips

I've said it before & I'll say it again; he's one of the worst players I've ever seen at QPR, would easily make it in to my worst QPR 11 of alltime.
I would like to know the story behind him signing, because whoever signed him, it definately wasnt a football person, 5 minutes on a few mobile phone calls would have saved us from this utter farce / ridiculous situation of a football player on ( at least ) £50'000 pounds a week that clearly cannot play football!
Only in England!
I'm surprised England didnt take him to The Euro's along with the useless Downing & Walcott, two other so called "Wingers" that clearly cannot do what they are supposed to do on a Football pitch, utter sh!te, year after year, after year after year.

I would rather have SWP than Downing though, at least Shaun actually got an assist this season!!!

Joey Bartons strengths include set-pieces, according to that. Rob Hulse has no strengths or weaknesses. Who wrote that crap?

I think SWP is marginally better than Joey ' pillock ' Barton, who I can no longer be bothered to write about.

Did not agree with the assessment of Jamie Mackie, Bothroyd or Barton.

So "who" do we agree with their assessments of ? Only read the SWP one, I agreed with that, but that little fella has been done to death on here, & KLR can bore for England on the subject!

As boring as it may be, whilst there is someone on ( at least ) £50'000 a week on QPR's playing staff that cannot play football, I will continue to point out, ridicule & complain about this hideous state of affairs, because its not good for my football club & all I can say is we can count our lucky stars that we didnt get relegated, because having the likes of SWP & Barton on the wage bill really could have taken us down the Leeds & Pompey route.
JUST HOPE THE OWNERS LEARN FROM THIS! That's my point, SWP couldnt give a toss what I think, he's laughing all the way to the bank, he knows how bad / what a fraud he is, probably couldnt believe his luck that there were any mugs / left on the block to offer him a new contract.
And just for old times sake, he really is one of the worst football players I've ever seen, at some points last season he was so bad, I had that Benny Hills theme music / Life of Brian's "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life" playing in my head when they brought him on, awful just awful!

Lads ,
I am going against the grain on this, i think SWP will come good next season under Sparky and i reckon Sparky will get the best out of him.I do not think SWP and his lack of form is due to his attitude which i think is all important.Give Hughes this summer with him and we will know by Xmas this year whether he is the real deal or not.
Cheers,
Jay

Jay, I was looking at the match report from his debut, he was excellent that night & if he can get that form back, you'll be right. Cheers, Jon ======================================= QPR Star Man – Shaun Wright Phillips 8 Seemed to tire and drift out of the game as the second half wore on but for an hour here he was unplayable, tormenting Newcastle to the beat of his own song as it boomed out of the P,Q and R blocks. On this evidence we’ve bought ourselves a real quality player. www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/fb_news.php?storyid=14022

A "Football" player that cannot cross, pass or shoot will never be a good "Football Player" this much is patently obvious.
If English football was ever going to progress, we would have enquiries as to how players as poor as Wright-Phillips, Downing, Walcott et al actually "make it" in English Football in the first place & how naturally talented players with obvious "Technical" such as Adam Johnson fail to get picked in national squads when Technically inadequate players such as Downing & Walcott do get picked, anyway, I am banging my head against a brick wall here, Walcott, Downing, etc etc etc, these are wingers that cannot do their jobs & they have "made it" England is the only so called "Developed" Footballing nation where this would ever happen, I'll suggest that there are 12 year olds at EG The Ajax, PSV or Bayern Munich academies with noticably more technical ability than Shaun Wright-Phillips.
Also the ridiculous suggestion I have made that English Football might ever want to progress! lol we also need to have an enquiry as to how a player such as Jordan Henderson, a player who on a GOOD day can maybe tackle just under the level of adequacy for a very limited Central Midfield player, can actually be worth £16 MILLION POUNDS!
English Football will never change, absolute laughing stock of World Football.

Totally agree, they keep talking about overhauling the youth development here but it's definitely not filtered through yet and will be years before it does - if it ever does. Hopefully the new national academy will bring some changes there. The likes of Walcott and SWP are prime examples - the only kids who seem to get through English youth systems, if they aren't built like barn doors, are little fast players. I have no idea where the notion came from that "being small and pretty fast" equated to "really F***ing useful" but it's endemic here. That speed may be worth something in the lower leagues but on the world stage it means nowt. Speed without actual TECHNIQUE is almost pointless in the top leagues. Compare a player like Walcott to say Hazard.

When players like Theo Walcott & Stewart Downing are getting picked ahead of someone like Adam Johnson, then I think you have to hold your hands up & say I F*cking give up, its not going to happen in my lifetime.
It reminds me of that famous Einstein quote

He's still getting paid £50 grand a week for not being able to play football at my football club though isnt he ?
So you can ignore me, but I'll continue my "campaign" until he isnt at my football club earning £50 grand a week for not being able to play football.
