I saw Mike Hunts final posts, he was losing the plot and was constantly abusing Rory, so he got a deserved ban.

One other point to make, not only is it in threads that we judge but also various pm's sent to the various mods which the general users do not see nor know the contents of other than the sender. When a lot of personal complaints are received we do have to investigate it and then again, make a consensus call. We try to be fair to the overall membership. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Why is it that you slated this site and the users on another MB anyway? So far in this thread you have been given ample lattitude to express yourself and you have done so. So you cannot accuse this site, it's members nor it's moderators of not giving you a fair chance and go as expressing your views. errrrrrrr where have i stated that you have NOT given me the oppitunity to express my views?  am i not intitled to say what i wish on other messageboards or does that fall under your rule also. how about you adressing the fact that to myself you find it exceptable to have constant name calling and slurs aimed at myself and others who dont follow or agree with certian peoples opinions! that is not a complaint though as im alot bigger than that but just wish to point out the hypocracy of what you preach.  |

firstly, my post was not directed at you therefore your response to it is invalid in my opionion.
secondly, i like using this site as a tool to promote my opinions and FACTS along with keeping things real and disspeling myths that some try to spread.
so after giving it considerable thought (10s) i will not gie you the satisfaction but i will say this.......... what i say on here and other sites are MY OPINIONS AND FACTS and i will never duck from them.
now if you wish to talk further about other messageboards weather they be qpr or different, please create a relevent thread for them as this thread is for mike hunt banning issue and your unresponsiveness to what a majority may or maynot want.

One of the Monikers applied to the current US President, in the last Campaign was "No Drama Obama."
Now whether you liked or didn't him as a candidate or a person (or as President), the title was a fair one.
And that's how we like it on this site: "No Drama" between posters. Dialogue, debate, discussion, disagreement and denial are all fine. But what's not going to happen on this board is what too often happens on other boards. The descent from disagreement to personality. It was one of the primary reasons why this board was created.
Or, as I used to "advertize" this board: - "Visit the football-only QPR Report Messageboard! No politics. No ad-hominems. Just news; eclectic articles and hopefully, interesting perspectives!"
We appreciate the people who have visit this board; the people who have signed up. And of course the people who post. But while of course no one is obliged to post here; so too we are not obligated to permit just anything or anyone to post if we feel it's contrary to how we feel this board should develop.
And ultimately people will judge for themselves - by whether they return and whether they post - and whether they derive enjoyment from this site.
My central thesis is that for a considerable number of people, they are simply not interested in playing messageboard games; in pushing the envelope. They simply want to discuss QPR and football in a hospitable, rather than hostile (or childish) environment.
Anyway that's certainly what I want.
And as addendum: I would suggest that it would be a rather big mistake to confuse politeness and tolerance with weakness or sainthood! (Or as the then- Attorney General, John Mitchell said (a few years before he went off to prison!: "Watch what we do not what we say.")

i will happily have it locked as people including mods are going off topic. i thought it was sarting out as a very good thread for descussion but has sadly decended into crap and now we have a mod named bushman who wants me to restate my comments from another messageboard with the sole pourpse of getting me banned.
this thread had promise for good debate but was ruined by a few idiots and a mod with a grudge.
you have my support in locking this thread macmoish.

I can think of only one person that was banned & that was for a really vile, beyond the pale comment that even I was a little bit offended by! Was that the bloke that suggested SWP should go to the Euro's |
