Very good piece.
Report, Have you seen any articles sympathetic to the Rangers board? I don't think I have. It seems even with all their PR clout they are taking one helleva hammering.

Very good piece. Report, Have you seen any articles sympathetic to the Rangers board? Even with all their PR clout they are taking a hammering. Z (or is that now sir?), there will not be any articles of sympathy placed in the press for a while. It is standard PR practice to weather the storm and wait for peoples memories to fade. Any article pro the club right now would be picked apart and dismissed in the current climate. The club will wait and see if they can buy a statement off Sousa that protrays them in a positive light first and then admonish the press for printing the stories, without actually admitting their role in this at all. Right now they are playing the wounded animal, which incidentally is when the beast is at it's most dangerous.

Probably right Mark but even so I am surprised that no journalist has written a pro board piece or at least thrown in a load of exotic names as managerial candidate to distract our fanbase. As for the Sir, we already have one SirPieChucker The Great

Shows how no-one wants to stand next to the board. I agree normally at least one journalist takes a contrary view to the popular one in order to get read by writing something no one else is and in this case that would be a positive view of the club. However when your only friends are paid employees and your behaviour is so deplorable, there are the rare occasions when even a journalist won't sell himself out because they don't want to be seen to support you and therefore upset their entire readership. And also if a journalist was to try to portray the board positively he doesn't have a leg to stand on and would be laughed out the newspaper's office (usually the pub nearest.)

Then again they could just do an interview with Flabio and put that up on the main site...................................
(Really do need that smiley emoticon with the red cheeks Mike!)
Mind you the club controlled media is the only place they will use right now as it is the only place they have complete control over, apart from the highly sought after magazine.

But please could someone tell me what Ben Kosky meant by "players come and go at a similar rate."
I dont actually think that any players who have come in since Briatore et al took over have actually left us ...
I think that even Ben Kosky is now falling into the trap which all journalists seem to have fallen into - of writing whatever they like about our Club without first checking their facts, coz "hey, it's only QPR - and they're game for taking cheap pot-shots at".
Sorry - but I lost a little bit of faith in Kosky when I read that particular comment - I thought he might buck the trend of the other journalists and at least get his facts right. Any players that have left us, like Walton, Bolder, Rehman (ok on loan) and even Blackstock pre-date the arrival of the new board and, let's be honest - what on earth have any of them done for their new teams (Walton especially has shined - I don't think!!)

Parejo, Tommasi & Barrowdale out on loan without kicking a ball and ofcourse the player who were already here whose contracts have been paid up but you could say that was clearing out the dead wood.

Ok - I get those, Eusebio - and dont forget Ledesma on that basis.
That's why I asked - these guys are eminently forgettable!
But I still think the wording is deliberately misleading - particularly clearing out the dead wood which needed doing, I think we'd all agree on that!

Every year or two, we go through this "clearing out the dead wood" - Have to ask how it keeps accumulating?
If you've been reading Ben Kosky for a long time, I think it's fair to say he was not in the forefront of the critiques of the Paladini "regime" - So he's not someone who always criticized.
Presumably he's come to his conclusions based on what he's seen.

I enjoy reading his stuff - I dont always agree with him - but that's my prerogative (as it is his to write the stuff!) But I would hate to see him become "just another hack" coz it's all the trend to bash QPR!

Both Ben and Dave Mc write good stuff. From all that I have read both seem pretty acurate, both write good and bad stories re goings on, so no bias.
From my point as soon as I read the statements I though oh someone is desprate!
I do think though as has been said money will change hands and PS will be saying QPR is all sweetness and light soon, followed by a statement of legal action to the press....and lets face it we have been there before!!
