Brazilians rarely come to England, its too cold for them. I expect he will decide to go to some Portugese club instead. you clearly haven't been to London recently ;D you can't move for Brazilians, the Harrow Road's like Little Rio

They must be homesick. There's a bit of a difference between the statue of Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado and Jackson the Reamer outside Craven Cottage.

Yep, we have to wait for this. We have to fly him over from Brazil and most of our press team and maybe Beardy and Amit are in Newcastle already.

I thought the club had told SSN we'd be signing him within 24 hours though? Maybe they meant alex or something.

This could be our most exciting signing since the aftermath of Went's assualt on Busby & we went & signed Dave Thomas.
Could we have two Brazillian's playing for us?
What a pity our Argentinian won't be on the pitch with them but I'm sure he could help them settle in.

Mark Hughes gets close to signing Brazil's golden Henrique for QPR • Welshman may get 20-year-old Brazilian striker on loan • Wayne Bridge and Alex are also on his list reddit this Jamie Jackson guardian.co.uk, Saturday 14 January 2012 22.55 GMT Article history QPR's new manager Mark Hughes is trying to bring in new players before the transfer window closes. Photograph: Sang Tan/AP Mark Hughes wants Henrique, a 20-year-old Brazilian striker who won the golden shoe at last summer's under-20 World Cup, to spearhead his rebuilding of Queens Park Rangers, with a deal to sign him from São Paulo "getting close", according to an executive at the west London club. Alongside the transfer of the Chelsea defender Alex, which is due for completion in the next few days for around £3.5m, Hughes wants the left-back Wayne Bridge from Manchester City and is searching for a goalkeeper to replace Paddy Kenny. The Welshman is trying to perform major surgery on his team conscious there are two weeks of the transfer window remaining. He begins the challenge of rescuing QPR, who are 18th, from relegation on Sunday at Newcastle. If Henrique joins, it is thought this will initially be on loan for the remainder of the season for a fee of around £400,000, with QPR having the option to make the move permanent for £5m in the summer. The forward is unsettled at São Paulo and has fallen out of favour with Emerson Leão, the São Paulo head coach, who confirmed that the clubs were negotiating. "The president [Juvenal Juvincio] is doing what he promised," he said. "I wanted to see people fighting for a place. He understood it was time for a change and these changes aren't over. Henrique could leave tomorrow or any time soon." Signed from Atlético Paranaense in 2007, Henrique has been in and out of the São Paulo side during the past two seasons and struggled to establish himself, going on loan to David Luiz's former club, Vitória, in 2010. Last August, he scored five goals at the Under-20 World Cup in Colombia, which won him the golden shoe and also the golden ball as the tournament's best player after he fired Brazil to the championship. The 5ft 9in striker has scored seven goals in 11 matches for Brazil under-20s and is considered pacy but not lightning fast, and if signed Hughes may decide to play him off a front man or wide in a 4-3‑3. Of other potential transfer targets, a deal to bring Steven Pienaar from Tottenham is now unlikely as Daniel Levy, the chairman, and Harry Redknapp are reluctant to sell with Spurs challenging for the Premier League. Alex's imminent arrival should also mean that Spurs' Sébastien Bassong will no longer interest Hughes, while doubts over the first-choice left-back, Armand Traoré, who is at the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal, have moved Hughes to try to land Bridge, with whom he worked while manager of City. Hopes are receding of Hughes landing Bobby Zamora. larger | smaller Football Premier League 2011-12 · Mark Hughes · QPR · Premier League Sport More news Related 13 Jan 2012 New manager Mark Hughes not safe from sack should QPR be relegated 10 Jan 2012 Will Mark Hughes steer QPR clear of relegation? 11 Jan 2012 Mark Hughes insists he will not repeat Manchester City mistakes at QPR 14 Jan 2012 Mark Hughes eyes the chance to become a 'great manager' at QPR www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/jan/14/mark-hughes-henrique-qpr?

Cheers Eus for putting that on this thread , most times i try to put a copy on the big thread and one on posters seperate ones aswell but missed that , thanks , doing well with your threads tonight Rory eh , hope i'm forgiven !! Surely with this guy and Macheda on loan we cant be looking at more Strikers? Enrique, Macheda, Helguson , DJ , Bothroyd , Hulse , Hewitt , German , Balanta , Agyemang , Vine , 11 strikers on our books We could put a team out just with Strikers , not including Shittu .

11 strikers with less than 11 goals between em! Shocking. If Henrique isn't even going to play up front I hope that's not opening the door for taarabt to leave.

Brazilian starlet Henrique is set to seal a move to England with Queens Park Rangers ready to land him. The Sao Paulo striker is one of the most highly-rated young forwards in Brazil and is a key member of the national Under 20 side. The 20-year-old helped Brazil lift the World Youth Cup last year and he also finished the tournament as top-scorer. He has been linked to clubs all over Europe with big-names in Spain, Italy and Germany all said to be keen. But now it seems he is set for a move to the Premier League with Mark Hughes ready to make him his first signing since taking charge earlier this week. It is believed that QPR have negotiated a deal to sign the Samba sensation on an 18-month loan with an option to then make that a permanent deal in 2013. Henrique himself refused to speak about the speculation, saying: "I don't know anything" when asked. However, his coach Emerson Leao says that he is expecting one of his prized assets to be sold imminently. "Our president [Juvenal Juvincio] is doing what he promised," he said. "I wanted to see people fighting for a place. He understood it was time for a change and these changes aren't over. "Henrique could leave tomorrow or any time soon." www1.skysports.com/football/news/11711/7433710/QPR-line-up-Brazilian-raid
