I'm quite excited about this one. The good thing is, if it doesn't work we can just send him back. I think we will probably get one more striker as well, with some Prem experience like Santa Cruz. I'd hope we would do a little bit better than that mate.

The problem being we don't have the luxury of time for failed signings. Anyway I dont think Its a bad signing, people may say we need strikwrs with premiership experience but Johnson and camera have a wealth of experience and still can't score for love nor money. Out of interest rory, whwre did you hear about this signing being henrique?

The best thing about this is that he is 20 so won't take up a place in the 25 man squad. Even if we do go down I think we would still have him for a season in the Championship. It's win win for all involved.

Can't find anything on BBC about Henrique. How good is the source? Nothing on Sky as well because the deal isn't done yet. The source is several Brazilian journalists that are close to Sao Paulo.

The Sao Paulo the next day should close the loan striker Henry to Queens Park Rangers, playing in the Premier League's first division. Voted player of the FIFA U-20 last year, the Brazilian national team, the young man failed to take hold among the holders of the Tricolor.
Henry stood out in the base and top scorer in all categories. Promoted with great anticipation, became heartthrob when he decided not to follow the example of friends Oscar and Diego, who tried to release the club in court. However, competition in the core team hurt.
In the selection of junior, in 2011, was very good in South America and with the absence of Neymar and Lucas in the World, took the starring role. It was one of the gunners of the competition.
The English club is betting that Henry can stand out among the young talent and will pay 500,000 euros for the loan of one year and a half. The final acquisition value after this period is attached: 6 million euros.
In last Monday, because of the selection highlight, Henry participated in the FIFA Golden Ball. The player took the opportunity to meet idols. Presented to Zidane and took photo with the current best in the world, Lionel Messi.
Already left the Sao Paulo since the end of the Championship midfielders Rivaldo and Marlos, striker Dagoberto, the right-back Jean, defender Xandão, the left-laterall Carleto (who had returned from loan) and the steering wheel Carlinhos Paraiba. The club, as usual, did not confirm the negotiations, but it must be closed, at most, early next week
That was obviously run through google translator.

Sao Paulo starlet Henrique to join QPR on loan - report The Brazil Under-20 star is reportedly set to join the London club for an initial £400,000, with the option to buy for £5 million, in a temporary move for a year and a half Queens Park Rangers are closing in on a deal that will see Sao Paulo star Henrique move to Loftus Road on loan, according to reports in Brazil.
Lancenet reports that the London based club will pay around £400,000 to take the youngster on loan, with an option to buy the Brazilian starlet for £5 million.
Henrique was named the Under-20 World Cup player of the tournament, which Brazil won back in August last year, with the award being presented to him at the prestigious Ballon d'Or gala.
Mark Hughes replaced Neil Warnock as QPR manager on Tuesday and has already suggested that he is looking to bring top players to the club in the January transfer window - with Chelsea defender Alex strongly linked with the Championship champions.

reports starting to appear now: São Paulo’s 21-year-old forward, Henrique, is reported to be close to signing a loan deal with Premier League club Queen Park Rangers. The initial deal is thought to be at around the €500,000 mark rising to €6million if QPR decide to make the transfer permanent. Henrique won the player of the tournament award at the Under-20 World Cup in 2011 but has struggled to make any impact on the first team at São Paulo. pitacodogringo.wordpress.com/2012/01/13/sao-paulos-henrique-almeida-linked-with-queens-park-rangers/?Queens Park Rangers are closing in on a deal that will see Sao Paulo star Henrique move to Loftus Road on loan, according to reports in Brazil. So this is what I've heard. Henrique will be loaned to us from Sao Paulo for 18 months with a €6m buy option at the end. If this happens it is potentially a massive signing. I've been watching this kid for a few years now and he's the real deal. Unbelievable all this! Scores goals, works hard off the ball and has the physicality for the Premiership.

You have actually answered the question I was going to ask. The question being. Has anybody seen much of this guy other than a few minutes of youtube clips. Because I get bored of hearing people talking about how good a player is when they know nothing about them.
