What do people think Fernandes' motives are for owning this club?
I've just finished watching the superb four year plan, which shows what happens when a rampant egotist gets involved in football.
I'm not putting TF in that league and think that he's a huge improvement in terms of communications with fans/pricing etc but it's a bit of a worrying throwback with his talk of the QPR 'project' (that Hughes mentioned tonight), expansion of 'the brand' in the far east, the fact that NW wasn't a big enough name to attract players and his incessant use of twitter (I thought his 'tweets' prior to NW sacking were disgraceful - his thoughts should have been kept between him and NW).
So, egotist, altruist, or somewhere inbetween?

he has openly admitted in many interviews that qpr in the premier league is a good advertising tool for his other ventures.
not such a bad thing in my eyes as that alone gives him the motivation to make a succsess out of this club.

So if we go down does TF bale out? He's already said that he will leave his position as chairman if the club fail to become successful.
We need long term stability not another incessant round of ownership/management changes (cos Hughes will bale out if we go down).

Lets not think about that yet , lets get behind the players and new Manager for 18 games and see what happens , i reckon some of those players might start putting in an extra 10 % you never know we could pull off the great escape!

Maude, like I sort of implied in my original post, I can't yet understand his motives and maybe watching the 4 year plan tonight has coloured my vision! However, the only one to emerge with any credit in the film is Amit and he's still there.
Maybe Tone should lie low a while.
Been here before with owners, the Bulstrode, Thomson headaches, as long as there's a QPR to follow it matters not a jot really.

No he shouldnt lie low in my view , its his money and as much as he liked NW as a friend he had to make a tough decision for his vision, his goals and the monies he was putting in . Doubt it was a two second reaction , probably really hurt TF doing it but the life of a Football Manager is tough its a results business as much i have to say those words . Its a chapter in our History that has ended , a great Chapter i bet there are Managers in QPR's history that have gone more than 9 games without a win and survived thats for sure !
