Warnock claims: Swansea are better than us Published 22:30 26/12/11 By Ian Winrow
. QPR crushed Swansea 4-0 a year ago, but now Neil Warnock admits Brendan Rodgers’ side have now pulled ahead of his Rangers team.
Warnock’s men dominated the Championship promotion race last season, clinching the title ahead of Norwich and Swansea.
But the QPR manager accepts his side has found life in the Premier League much harder than the other newly-promoted teams.
Tuesday’s clash at the Liberty Stadium will confirm where Rangers and Swansea stand 12 months after their one-sided meeting last year.
Warnock is confident, though, a new Rangers will emerge after the January transfer window. said: “I think you have to say Norwich and Swansea have adapted better because of their positions in the league. “But I look overall and it has been a massive change around.“The whole ball game changed when our new owners came in and we managed to get some new faces in.
“We didn’t get enough though. We were hoping we could get away with certain positions but it is not happened like that. We have been punished.”
And he added: “Last Boxing Day was probably one of the best games we played last year.
“I don’t think last season we would have conceded the goals we have this time as daft as it sounds but we weren’t as good a team. So you’ve got to get that mixture.
“You’ve got to get that toughness back, that never-say-die, keeping goals out and continue to play what I think is attractive football and creating chances. We’ve got to try to get that recipe back to how it was.” Warnock is a self-confessed fan of Swansea manager Rodgers. But he believes he may have played a minor role in the former Reading and Watford boss’ rise through the ranks to the Premier League. Warnock said: “I am pleased for Brendan. He has not had it all his own way, ups and downs.
“I remember speaking to him during one of his downs and I like to think he took on board what I was saying. “It was years ago. Before Swansea, long time before that. I think it was at Watford or Reading. Just a friendly bit of advice, keep your hands in your pockets and things like that.
“He doesn’t change his principles and they are lovely on the eye.”
Warnock must decide whether to restore Adel Taarabt to his line-up after the Moroccan’s impressive 45-minute display against Sunderland.
And the manager admits the player’s future still hangs in the balance. He said: “My job is to try and get him playing as well as he can to warrant a move or get in the team regularly.
“At the moment, that is what he is doing. He is back to his bubbly self. “If we get an offer we can’t turn down then I can use that money elsewhere.
“But if he continues how he has done the last two weeks it would be lovely for me.

Its sad Mr Warnock that you cant conceive of your team as good enough to beat Swansea.
January is a myth, the future is now. All your Januarys will amount to nothing if you dont start playing
ninety minutes of football, not what you are serving up now. You didnt have to sell Gorkss in the
summer, knowing, without a shadow of a shadow of doubt that Hall and Connolly were going to be having trouble playing for third Lanarks second team. These two are fookin.., shite, crap.
But thats only a part of the problem. SWP is running hazy circles in the sky, Tarabat is still a head case, Hellguson is a one trick pony. A good one. Campbell and Bothroyds are in another world. Barton has gone into a trance, Faurlin plays his gunavem off but one is not enough. Finally the manager who can talk faster and smoother than any other just wait til January. To quote the Yorkshire yakmobil I thought christmas came in december.

I personally like that public approach. Doesnt build up the other team/give them an additional fire to beat us. And also it's just nice to show appreciation for the other team/club/fans. Not alwaus demonize and denigrate the opposition.

what must fernandez be thinking, he gave warnock £15 mil to spend on transfers and wages back in septemember and warnock claims swansea are better than us looooooooool.
i said at the end of november that in december we wont get a single point. so far it seems the case.
we cant beat bolton or blackburn or sunderland or wba at home, what hope have we got with warnock? wake up fernandez, warnock might be a nice guy who done great in a championsip divison but he is inept in the prem.
give him another £15 mil in january and we still wont be as good as swansea or norwich. time to show some steel fernandez and look forward rather than stick with an unexperienced premiership manager (warnock)
WARNOCK OUT.

I feel Warnock earnt his right to maintain the Managers job through the duration of this season whatever happens due to results in season 9-10 and 10-11. If he did take us down , make the change then but not now , no point . If he got more out of Barton and SWP we would have a few more points possibly , these two must improve . Warnock knows a good player so i have no worries about spending money , Clarke , Hulse , Tofas and Moen being his worst signings but the later two may not have been his choices . As long as the deals are not to long , maybe the odd loan i'm happy and will behind him until the end of the season come what may . He could have handled a few incidents a little better for sure . We need to remain fully behind the Team they need our support and hopefully we can grind enough points out by the end of March to keep us up , we need 7 wins , maybe 6 will do and we need most of them before April . This is our worst month , we have managed to get a win every month to date apart from Decemer , we are crawling upto the transfer window , any point we can eek out of Swansea or Arsenal will be good , two draws would be good . We have already got 1 point in December though Hitman dont know where your zero came from ? Your right in that its not enough , and if we are on 16 points before Norwich we are in a bad way , personally thought we would have 20-21 by then so going to be very tough next year. If we only manage 16 points in 19 games got to get 24 in the next 19 , big ask !

The only manager around, who's free, that I could have gone for if Warnock had voluntarily stepped down, would have been Martin O'Neil. I just don't see a new manager coming in who'd change us around for the better. And a lot of long term damage could be done to this club. There is a sense of morale and integrity and commitment that has been restored to the club. Basically the first manager since Holloway. Holloway was treated disgustingly by Mr. Paladini. (As was Sousa). I would like my club under new ownership, not to act in this manner any more. So let Warnock be Warnock. And I think (not sure!) we stay up.

Lets see what this selected defensive team does against Swansea , of late 1 point from 15 , if that becomes 1 point from 21 , probably not stay up on this occasion, to much to do in the second half . December so far has seen us go from 10th to 17th , could be 18th by the time we play Norwich. Teams are fighting for there lives Blackburn , Norwich and Swansea all got a point at Liverpool , we went there with just one format to play , Wolves fighting at Arsenal just means Arsenal will be even more pumped up . Whos pumping us up , not Barton ?

Judging by the first half pretty much every other club in this division is now better than us.
We are in serious trouble at this rate.
