If true, how laughable The Sun I must join our goal celebrations
A V GLEE ... Chelsea boss wants his players to share goal celebrations with himBy ROB BEASLEY Published: 10 Dec 2011 CHELSEA last night confirmed their players are under orders to involve Andre Villas-Boas in their goal celebrations. The Blues boss came up with the idea at a recent team meeting.A Chelsea spokesman last night said: "The manager has asked the players to look across and recognise him and his staff on the bench after a goal."He believes that by celebrating together it shows we are all in it together. That's the players, the manager, the subs, the staff, the medical people — everyone working and celebrating together." But the idea is being mocked by some of his squad who are said to be increasingly at odds with their rookie boss. A Stamford Bridge insider said: "There are a few players who don't feel very 'together' with the manager right now. "So I'm not sure anybody will be rushing over to hug him if they score against Man City on Monday. To them it all seems a bit silly and desperate." www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3989997/I-must-join-our-goal-celebrations.html

And from The Mail/Matt Barlow
Lockdown as AVB shuts out reserves and outcasts ahead of Man City showdown Andre Villas-Boas has taken his team into lockdown ahead of the crunch Barclays Premier League clash against Manchester City. Amid a series of leaks from inside the Chelsea camp including revelations that he asked players to acknowledge the coaches on the bench when they celebrate a goal, Villas-Boas banished the reserves from the first-team building at the club's training ground. Nicolas Anelka and Alex, who have had transfer requests accepted, are also exiled from the first-team block at their Surrey headquarters and must report to the adjacent building, where the academy is based. Dermot Drummy's reserve-team squad, made up mainly of young professionals who were recently lectured about standards and attitude by technical director Michael Emenalo, have been ousted, too. It is the latest in a series of changes enforced by Villas- Boas as he continues to stamp his authority and personality on the club he joined from Porto last summer. Back-to-back wins against Newcastle and Valencia have eased the pressure from the Chelsea manager but defeat against City would leave his team trailing 13 points behind the Barclays Premier League leaders. Villas-Boas is still in attack mode after launching a verbal assault on Gary Neville and Alan Pardew last week. Neville angered the 34-year-old Portuguese with comments about David Luiz and Villas-Boas lashed out at Pardew for blaming injuries on Mike Dean's decision to give the defender a yellow card rather than a red for a 'last man foul' at St James' Park. The Newcastle boss hit back, last night, saying: 'It would be more honourable if he accepted that Luiz should have been sent off, like the referee did. 'Sometimes when you've had a defeat, you have to find certain reasons why and voice those concerns. But when you have a victory, it's nice to be a bit more respectful and honourable, saying we won the game but decisions went our way. That's what I did at Manchester United.' Closed shop: Chelsea reserves are not to be allowed into the club's Cobham base Everton's Phil Neville leapt to the defence of his brother, who has been praised for his insight as a pundit for Sky Sports. 'Gary has been fantastic and he's impressed everybody,' said Neville. 'I work on Merseyside, where opinions were divided when he got the job but he has won a lot of people over by being honest. 'He says it how it is and that's all you can ask. He has always been the type to have strong opinions and people like listening to him. I know I certainly do. The hour on a Monday night before the game is fascinating. 'I don't think he's been outspoken. He has just given a fair account of what's been happening. Even though he's a die-hard Manchester United fan, I don't think anyone can label what he's said.' Gary did not resist more opinion on Chelsea in his Mail on Sunday column, insisting their title hopes willl be virtually over if they lose to City. It happens to be a view shared by Villas-Boas. 'It becomes extremely difficult if we lose,' said the Chelsea boss. 'Thirteen points is a big deficit to recover. Not impossible, but that's the reality. 'Getting back to seven would be ideal for us and puts City very close but 13 is a massive gap.' Villas-Boas, who won the Europa League last season, rejected the idea that City's Premier League efforts would be hindered by the competition. 'If it's Thursday-Sunday, they have enough time to recover,' he said. He also ruled out any interest in City striker Carlos Tevez. 'Not on loan, not a permanent deal,' said Villas-Boas. www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2072915/Andre-Villas-Boas-locks-reserves-ahead-Man-City-clash.html

AVB denies that Sun Report
"VB hits back at celebration report Andre Villas-Boas once again accused the Sun newspaper of fabricating stories following Chelsea's 2-1 victory over Manchester City, claiming he never demanded that his players celebrate with the management team to show solidarity. (04:38) December 13, 2011"

I wouldnt take anything thats said in The Sun as being true (or any other Murdoch newspaper for that matter). It might be nice to believe it but they have years of lies, deceits, and outright prefabrications behind them, but then I've already mentioned Murdoch.

www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2076785/Andre-Villas-Boas-Tommy-Langley-removed-Chelsea-TV.htmlObviously Tommy never hugged him. [Macmoish copy/paste of story above) EXCLUSIVE: AVB kicks long serving pundit Langley out of Chelsea TV By CHARLES SALE /MAIL Chelsea's super-sensitive manager Andre Villas-Boas has had lead pundit Tommy Langley removed from his own club’s TV channel for criticising the Portuguese’s hardline treatment of disenchanted players. Former club favourite Langley was told he was no longer required at Chelsea TV after he described AVB as ‘vindictive’ for allegedly not allowing Nicolas Anelka and Alex to park their vehicles in the first-team car park after they had been banished from the squad for handing in transfer requests. Hard line: Andre Villas-Boas did not take Tommy Langley's criticism well No longer required: Langley described Villas-Boas as 'vindictive' Langley, who was the club’s player of the year in 1979, has been an admired analyst on Chelsea TV for a decade and does co-commentary as well as co-hosting discussions before and after matches. Friends of Langley say he is extremely upset but does not want to say anything that would jeopardise a return to his TV role if AVB has a change of mind. The Chelsea boss has proved to be remarkably thin-skinned when it comes to negative media comment, and notably labelled Gary Neville’s description of David Luiz playing like he was controlled by a 10-year-old on PlayStation as ‘ridiculous’. Villas-Boas believes Neville and other pundits such as Alan Hansen have a ‘likely biased position in their opinion-making because of a direct past related to a single club, which is their favourite’. Yet his dumping of committed Chelsea supporter Langley points to him not accepting strong adverse comments on the home front, either. A Chelsea spokesman said: ‘For a number of reasons we are reviewing the structure and output of Chelsea TV. 'We are waiting for these reviews to be completed before we make a final decision regarding staffing and content.’ www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2076785/Andre-Villas-Boas-Tommy-Langley-removed-Chelsea-TV.html#ixzz1hABIkUNT

! It's one thing for US to "abuse" Tommy Langley...But nobody - especially not Chelsea - can treat a former QPR player like this!

Chelsea deny this one too! Independent Chelsea deny Andre Villas-Boas had former star removed from in-house TV channel Chelsea today denied Andre Villas-Boas had former star Tommy Langley removed from the club's in-house television channel for criticising the manager's treatment of Nicolas Anelka and Alex. The Blues insisted the decision to dispense with long-serving pundit Langley while an internal review was undertaken was made by senior editorial staff and was not forced by Villas-Boas. Langley had branded Villas-Boas "petty", "vindictive" and "unprofessional" over allegations he had prevented Anelka and Alex to park their vehicles in the first-team car park after they had been banished from the squad for handing in transfer requests. A Chelsea spokesman said: "For a number of reasons, we are reviewing the structure and output of Chelsea TV. "We are waiting for these reviews to be completed before we make a final decision regarding staffing and content." Langley, who was Chelsea's player of the year in 1979, has been a Chelsea TV analyst for a decade and does co-commentary as well as co-hosting discussions before and after matches. Despite Chelsea's denial, Villas-Boas has previously reacted angrily to criticism from former players, with Graeme Souness, Alan Hansen and - most notably - Gary Neville all succeeding in getting under his skin www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/chelsea-deny-andre-villasboas-had-former-star-removed-from-inhouse-tv-channel-6280025.html
